2 questions that will be answered during the fight is: Who will control the pace? and Where will the fight be fought?

If it's fought mostly at a fast pace and on the inside... it's more likely Lopez will win. If it's mostly fought with the pace slower and on the outside, Marquez will win.

I seriously think that Rafa's style is so poison for Lopez and southpaws in general that he will slow the pace down, counterpunch on the outside, survive the rough spots, and knock Lopez out in mid-late rounds.
But Que we all know that Rafa's mentality always leads him to get into shootouts, which at this stage in his career against JuanMa he can't afford. I want Rafa to break JuanMa off more than anybody but I dont see it at this stage in his career against a younger fighter with less wear and tear. I agree with most of your points though homie, but I just see JuanMa pressuring Rafa too much for rafa to stay in counter punch mode. And when Rafa is pressured he tries to fight through the pressure and not smother it.

Younger version of Marquez was 118 and would get owned just as easily as old 126 Marquez

I think Marquez will give Lopez the hardest fight of his career and may even stop him. They are only fighting him because of his age and status but I think it may be a mistake. Marquez is very fundamentally sound.....should be a good fight regardless.

We all know the one and only fight that means anything to Lopez in terms of whether he is the true future of PR boxing or not is a fight with Caballero. If he does not set up a fight with Caballero after his Marquez match, he is ducking him and for good reason.

I think the term "Ducking" is used very loosely nowadays but in this instance I agree 100% and already feel that JuanMa is and has been ducking Caba for years now. Even if JuanMa fights Gamboa, I won't give him a just due until he fights Caba. Caba has done waaaaaaaaaaaay too much to land the fight with Juan. And if Caba moves up to 130 like he's been saying and wins big there, it only makes JuanMa look even worse IMO.

why would caballero moving up to 130 make Juanma look bad?Aint caballero 5 or 6 inches taller than Juanma or Gamboa?so he is tall for 126

This will be an all out war.

                I favor JuanMa.

Mostly becuase Rafa will box with JauMa.

I think JaunMa will be more comfortable since he won't be under constant pressure.

Well, I too think he is and has been ducking Cabs but I'll try at least to give him some kind of benefit of the doubt although it is pretty obvious.

Rafa's the far better boxer and technician. Juanma's best chance is to slug it out with him and try to catch him with his right glove low.
