I agree that he should get more fights under Steward to truly grasps his style and adapt, but at the end of the day, those type of paydays don't come around often and he's near their class to make it competitive if not outright win.

Its his choice, but I just hope he finally takes the reigns in negotiation since now he holds the cards by the removal of Margarito. Pac's team should have to cave into a more fair contract to Cotto if Floyd elects not to fight, where else would he go? Who else can he fight that is financially viable?
      good post

there is the possibility of fighting Pacquiao in the phillipines, however margarito doesnt deserve a career payday against pacquiao

Mayweather doesnt deserve a career payday against pacquiao cuz he admitted to using lydocane and god only knows what else

Cotto at 154 for the title in Vegas is the fight I wanna see and hopefully it will be made

The irony of Margarito - "The most feared man in boxing" - skulking around Mexico fighting journeymen and quaking at the prospect of facing up to the commissioners who suspended his license.

Bob Arum squawking and flapping like a crow around a carcass is the other pathetic spectacle in this disgusting tale. Neither man has any credibility over this matter.

Nice to see the NSAC keep Margarito on the sidelines where he belongs. I think Margarito is an idiot and proud one at that. He obviously takes no responsibility for his actions or he would have never sued the CSAC. I don't know what idiot advised him to do that?

That lady was a little too involved and stepped out of line with her comments. She must be a friend of Bob's. You just don't throw your colleagues under the bus like that unless you have a personal interest in the situation.

This would have truly been a black eye to the sport of boxing if the NSAC would have undermined the CSAC. I don't understand why the media has not chastised Arum more heavily for trying to put a fight with Pac and Margarito together. Margarito hasn't even done anything to show he deserves a fight of that magnitude despite the fact that he was caught committing the ultimate boxing taboo. How many times have you read articles from the media regarding what's wrong with boxing; heavily criticizing promoters, abc organizations, etc. Every media outlet should be on board in discouraging the plans of Arum trying to get Margarito into a big fight.

Arum should be called "sideshow Bob" for trying to take the sport out of boxing and trying to turn it into a sideshow.

This is a cautionary tale, a warning to people who think that cheating pays. Margarito is not the important thing in this story, he's only one man. The moral is "A cheater never prospers." In boxing, fairness is everthing, and the dangers involved makes cheating all the more dispised. Even if Margarito gets his license back, he won't get his fans back.

ARUM, but I'm a guessin you knew that

Perceptive, I thought the same thing, I would keep an eye on that *****.

Arum has no morales at all, but neither does the media going by the amount of dishonest reporting that goes on.

Arum is a joke, he should be run out of town.
I agree isbj, Arum has done more harm than good to the sport of boxing.

I wish they would let him and us know if he's going to get his license back or not once and for all. Not that i'm a fan, had respect until he got cought cheating.
