This is only a delay. The CSAC will reinstate him.
Yea theres a less and less chance that he will be reinstated by CSAC, because he keeps trying to go around them.

He had a fight in mexico, and tried to go to the NSAC before even attempting to go to CSAC. If thats not a slap in the face to CSAC, then i dont know what is

Cotto should take care of Cotto by making 10-12 million against Pac/Floyd/Margarito than making 2-4 million by fighting lower class of fighters.

I agree that he should get more fights under Steward to truly grasps his style and adapt, but at the end of the day, those type of paydays don't come around often and he's near their class to make it competitive if not outright win.

Its his choice, but I just hope he finally takes the reigns in negotiation since now he holds the cards by the removal of Margarito. Pac's team should have to cave into a more fair contract to Cotto if Floyd elects not to fight, where else would he go? Who else can he fight that is financially viable?

Yeah, I hear you. I guess I'm a little concerned about Cotto's physical well-being and his psyche at this stage. I wouldn't want to throw him in against the lions too quick. That's what they did after the Margarito bout; fed him Jennings then a Clottey before Pacquiao. I'd like to see him continue to work with Manny and get at least one more fight under his belt before tackling a Pac or May. But you're right. It's a business and Cotto is a player.

Yeah, that's a gnawing thought. But I feel like if he takes care of himself now, he may be able to extend his career and earn more.

                  Also true...

I think a Floyd/Pac fight is a profitable fight within the next two years...assuming Cotto doesn't lose...

I think from a profit stand point, a Margarito fight can only happen now while he's still fresh in people's mind. If anything, I think he can beat Margarito without more bouts under him with Steward. I think Steward can easily come with a plan for Margarito

So who else can Cotto fight that is both viable and risk-ok? I go through the names and I can't find any...Berto @154 would be fun
