Don't get me wrong, I like Mosley, and I agree that Mayweather just outboxed Mosley. But watching that fight and losing to someone like Floyd in a convincing manner tells me that it's time for Mosley to hang the gloves. Like someone here just pointed out, beating Mora/Berto will not really help with his legacy, and it's only bad if he loses, or worse - lose badly. There's no shame to being sent into retirement by Floyd, being a top fighter he is, but Mora/Berto?

Yep. "Floyd is ducking Shane" -- "Floyd's gonna get on his bike" -- "Shane's gonna KHTFO" -- "Shane's faster and stronger" -- "Floyd ain't man enough to stand toe to toe"How many threads did we get from posters on here saying he would never fight Mosley? How many threads did we get about why was it taking Mayweather/Mosley sooo long to be announced? How many times did we get how Mayweather would look for a way out of the fight? It makes them less of a boxing fan and its soo funny to see the next cycle, First it was Gatti(2005), Then it was Judah,Margarito(2006), Then it was De la Hoya/Hatton then it was Mosley....
When all the predictions were debunked, now it's that Shane got old after the 2nd round.
I'm eagerly anticipating the Pacquiao excuses...
"Manny was too small" -- "Manny's not a real welterweight" -- "Floyd wouldn't stand still" -- "The random blood tests weakened him" --
"Them USADA guys tested too early" -- "The testing interrupted his training" -- "Manny was also preparing for the elections" -- "The gloves were too tight" -- "The ring was too big" -- "Freddie couldn't get hard"Comment

Cept, there weren't a good amount of people saying "Holmes is Tyson's first test" or "Holmes has the tools to KO Tyson". Not to mention Holmes had been absolutely inactive (in n out of the ring/training gym) for over 22 retired months and had lost two of his last 4 fights.
Paul Williams' bandwagon will grow significantly if Mayweather beats Pacquiao."Manny was too small" -- "Manny's not a real welterweight" -- "Floyd wouldn't stand still" -- "The random blood tests weakened him" --

very true. shane is an elite athlete, so all the "he was tired,or he was gassed" after two rounds?????????? shane is not a rookie and on most nights he comes out with his hands raised in victory. if he was in such bad shape, it would show in all his fights. most fighters with no strict work ethic are exposed in the ring in MOST of the fights they have. not just one. shane beats most at 147 IMOComment

well lets be honest here, he still has to pay jin off. so thats a real good reason to keep fighting. when you need money and you are still a good fighter then why not? keep fighting and keep the dough rolling in to pay your bills. just remember skills pay bills!I feel as if Shane should be leaning towards retirement he shouldn't be going up and down in weight at his age also a win over Mora or Berto won't enhance his legacy any and there really is nothing else for him to prove sticking around to long will hurt him more than it will help himComment
