Not effective at all.. counterproductive really.
How effective is taking HGH two weeks before a fight?

All i need from you then is just one link showing more than one boxer/athlete was caught doping through random olympic-stlye blood tests. (the one Floyd jr insists Pac take).
If you do, then i'll admit that i was wrong. Otherwise, i'll stick to my statement.Comment

Well actually HGH is fairly useless for athletes let alone boxers. So taking HGH at all for a fight is somewhat ineffective. Here is a reply I had on a similair subject in another thread:First of all, there is no doubt that it takes less than 24 hours to hide HGH (according to Conte).
Secondly, there is also a BIG possibility that using PEDS or HGH can help in training in that it can conceivably allow a fighter to train longer and harder and thus give him more strength, stamina, endurance during a fight.
That being said, let us just say FOR THE SAKE OF CONVERSATION, that Pac is indeed taking HGH, and if floyd jr. agrees to the 14 day window, he takes that opportunity to take HGH, with the intention of improving his training.
How can this actually help him train when at this point in time, he would be winding down his training? It is common knowledge in the athletic world that an athlete must not exert himself/herself close to the time of their performance.
This is to prevent overtraining and allow the body to heal so that when the time to fight/perform comes, the athlete is in top shape.
Note though that i'm a simple layman and am in no way an expert in PEDS, HGH or such and i'm not pretending to be one. I just have a couple of questions i want answered and hopefully someone would be willing to adequately answer them.

Harvard Health Letter. Harvard Health Publications. 2008-01-01. https://www.health.harvard.edu/newsl..._Health_Letter. "Used by athletes to build muscle, human growth hormone may in fact make muscles bigger, but not necessarily stronger. HGH is also marketed as an anti-aging treatment, but there are no data about possible side effects from long-term use."
A few quotes from the link in bold:
"The conclusion is that growth hormone does indeed have powerful effects on fat and carbohydrate metabolism, and in particular promotes the metabolic use of adipose tissue triacylglycerol. However, there is no proof that net protein retention is promoted in adults, except possibly of connective tissue. The overexaggeration of the effects of growth hormone in muscle building is effectively promoting its abuse and thereby encouraging athletes and elderly men to expose themselves to increased risk of disease for little benefit."
"In fact, as is argued below, the evidence that GH is anabolic in healthy adults is very poor. Furthermore, there is good evidence that chronic high serum concentrations of GH decrease performance and acutely may even cause metabolic changes in the short term that are likely to diminish the capacity for strenuous physical activity."
And I assure you the quotes are not taken out of context, if you dont believe me just check.Comment

That's for HGH only.
How about the other 100+ drugs on the banned list? You know, the drugs that a BUNCH of other athletes have been busted using?
How about those?Comment

Did you say that the rugby player got busted? Was that ONE?Comment

this is getting a bit old already. That being said, let us just say FOR THE SAKE OF CONVERSATION, that Pac is indeed taking HGH, and if floyd jr. agrees to the 14 day window, he takes that opportunity to take HGH, with the intention of improving his training.

growth is taken for growth so manny wouldnt take it at this point. either and epo. the last leg of training is the time they make weight and all that. so it would have to be something pertaining to that.Comment

Well, they can be caught through the simple random urine tests. If not, then they could always TRY using Floyd jr's random olympic-style blood tests.
Sigh.
So the only way Pac could cheat is through the 14 day window he's asking for.
AGAIN. My question therefore is;
Is there any tangible proof whatsoever that taking HGH two weeks before the fight has any significant benefits?Comment
