Judah fighting Shamba Mitchell?... When's Judah gonna fight a LIVE opponent?

Zab Judah has been put in the "WHO'S HOT" list because he's fight Shamba Mitchell next.

Surely Judah fighting Shamba Mitchell should put Judah more in the "NOT HOT" catagory, because Shamba is shot to pieces.

To be fair, Shamba Mitchell has looked like a fighter on the slide ever since his gift decsion against Lovermore Ndou. I think anyone with an eye for boxing would have noticed this... That's the reason I kept harping on about the Tszyu vs Mitchell II fight flattering Tszyu before Hatton fought Tszyu. (And I'm a Hatton fan).

Judah said that he'll fight ANYONE! when he became the Welterweight champ, yet so far he's fought that Cosme Riviera and now 37yr old Shamba "shot to pieces" Mitchell... Personally I think this qualifies Judah into the "NOT HOT" catogory.

Sooner or later, Judah's gonna have to fight a LIVE opponent. I think it'll be a big name in the light-welterweight division moving up, like Hatton/Cotto/Floyd...

IF Sharamba Mitchell is considered a decent opponent that just goes to show what a ****can the 147 pound divison is. Mitchell's last fight was an extremely lastluster performance that ended on a unintentional headcut. And in the fight preceeding that he was stopped before the end of round 3 by Kostya Tzyu. On top of that Mitchell has only had 1 fight at 147 and that was his most recent fight vs I believe Chris Smith?

Judah wants a big money fight like De la Hoya, Mosley or a rematch with Tszyu. That's why he is taking on these type of fighters right now to build up his reputation to the general public. Once that is done I believe he will get the big money fights he wants and will fight better opponents.

How is he building a repuation by fighting Coseme Rivera, and 37 year old, 1 fight at 147, stopped in the 3rd by Tzyu, Sharamba Mitchell? If he is building any kind of repuation through this kind of business is has to be a negative one. The guy wont touch Antonio Margarito with a ten foot pole despite the fact the guy is basically one the only live bodies at 147.

I agree.... This sort of competition Judah is facing is doing nothing but building a negative reputation for him.

He kept shouting out that he'd fight ANYONE when he became the welterweight champ, but so far Riviera and Mitchell are not what we'd call LIVE opponents. Judah said that he was gonna be one of those champs that isn't afraid to fight the best?

Imagine Ricky Hatton's next fight was to be against Shamba Mitchell?... Can you imagine the stick Ricky Hatton would get, yet it's ok for Judah to fight Shamba "shot to pieces" Mitchel because Judah is only doing it to help build his reputation.

              It's all a load of B0LL0X!

He is building his reputation to the General public not boxing fans like us. Judah wants paydays that's all that matters to him right now and by blowing up a bunch of nobody's he get's the average non-boxing watching fan to take notice. Plus he needs more fans to be able to make money with a fight with Margarito. I'm not disagreeing with you this is just how I assume Judah is thinking.

Are you ****ing joking, your saying its offensive to call black people ******s but then say all europeans are dumb?? thats just dumb in itself.

                  Back to the subject...

I dont see Mitchell as being shot, i just dont think he's ever had the tools to be as big of a deal as people make him out to be, he just cant punch hard enough to keep a pressure fighter off and Tszyu exposed that. He'll still give Judah a decent fight because he's a box puncher. If you think about it, Mitchell still took Tszyu more rounds than Judah.

If Judah catches him clean with the straight left its over pretty quickly but i think this will go 6+ rounds, maybe even the distance.
