If this is the excuse Floyd is running with for not facing Pacquiao (thought the new one was taxes ) then it's clear, for the 302nd time, that he never had any intention of fighting Manny.
Roger's court date was set back in March, before either the Clottey and Mosley fights, and they knew he was facing felony charges and possible/probable jail time (the police SAW Roger assaulting the woman)... so why would they enter negotiations knowing that no Roger=no Pacquiao fight?
But then again, this is if this is the story they're going to run with. I wouldn't be surprised to hear about some rib injuries or more talk of leaving boxing for a year or two randomly.
How is it Floyd's excuse. He can't take ownership for something he hasn't said. It's the same with the tax issue and not wanting to fight in Nov. Arum has said all these things. What exactly has Floyd said, or even anyone in his team? Arum is Pac's promoter.....not Floyd's.

It's one of 2 things- either Arum is making this up out of thin air or the impression he got after negotiations was that Floyd was hesitant to sign on to fight because of this issue. And both Schaefer and De La Hoya -Floyd's promoters on this one- have been running around pushing a Pacquiao-Marquez III fight even though they're working on Pacquiao-Mayweather? Obviously they know something and they're not expecting Mayweather to fight Pacquiao.
If this is false, we will have to wait until next week to find out. Either way, Floyd is taking his sweet time to make a decision.
I think the comfort issue is a big thing, all though i also belive that Roger is a very capable trainer. Maybe Jessie Vargas' progress will be able to provide a better gauge of his ability as a trainer.
I gained a lot of respect for Roger in the Mosley fight. After the second round when things were looking not so good for Mayweather and I, as a Mayweather fan, was extremely nervous, Roger simply repeated "you beat him easy when you box him" and continued to act as if nothing had gone wrong. Meanwhile Ellerbe looked as if he had just seen a ghost and Garcia had something to do for the first time in his partnership with Floyd.
anyone could train floyd and floyd would still be floyd. pac need roach tho, for the gameplan.
you're comparing apples to oranges buddy
Errr apples and oranges? Yeah Floyd doesn't need a game plan but Pac does??? How is this different? They're both boxers with two trainers they happen to work effectively with. I don't know why you're trying to say.. Mayweather could be trained by any trainer but Pac needs Roach? Ok, a fight of this magnitude - let's call Buddy McGirt to train Mayweather while we're at it. You're an idiot.

Give yourself an uppercut.
MAYWEATHER MAY LOSE HIS TRAINER !!!!!
That interview was not Mayweather.
The comment is made by Bob Arum, who also said this.....
" I don't think Manny would fight without Freddie "

OK... and is this a new development that he might lose his trainer?
His court date(s) and the specific charges were made public on March 9, before either the Clottey and Mosley fights.
If possibly not having his trainer means no fight, then he never had any intention of fighting Pacquiao because they knew the situation long before negotiations started. So now that they got their Mayweather Boxing Commission anti-doping protocol agreed to and everyone else is on the same page and it's time to sign... ALL OF A SUDDEN there's a problem that was known about MONTHS ago?
And tell me why Golden Boy is pushing Pacquiao-Marquez III.
