you don't get it. cotto didn't have to accept that paycheck. he could've said "**** you, my belt, my rules".funk that. look, they offered him a career sized check to make it happen or they would have went elsewhere with all those millions. cotto never really had the people, just got brutalized, the jig was up on his toughness......his career was probably looking like a wrap to him. he knows he can't beat margarito and when the judges quit protecting him....i mean espn only gets like 50k to split up on any friday night. i would have done the same thing if i was in his situation. cotto had to do it or put a serious risk on his future as well as his childrens future.
manny and arum are ****ks for that deal. and to top it off didnt they take his belt. so much ***** i forget how many belts they gave placyow for that garbagew.
cotto sold himself out. can't blame anyone but himselfComment

Actually, the WBO was going to strip Cotto if he didn't put his title on the line.
TBH he was just looking for more money which Arum gave him. Eitherway it played no outcome in the fight and it won't in the rematch which is why I'm curious as to why Pacquiao wants a catchweight. He doesn't need it. Cotto can come in at 154 and I still think he loses.Comment

Yes, turn down your biggest payday because you are against something like a few pounds. The blame should be on Pac, he made huge pay days well before Miguel and should of had the balls to fight Miguel at the right weight. Miguel isn't being talked about a top 20 fighter of all time, Pac is. Pac should of manned up and proved he could beat a talent like Miguel without trying to weight drain him.Comment

no you dont get it. he says my belt my rules and arum stymies cotto for the rest of his contract. more like cotto's belt [arguably bought by arum] and arums rules. meanwhile cotto loses to whoever he fights after clottey, a fight in which he really lost-----[and WOW got a belt in the process after losing the wba which he got in a vacant match against quintana so basically cotto never beat a champ at 147 for a belt. you think he dont know that?]------then instead of getting big millions he's fighting for 500k at the dog track.
everyone has a price, and we now know what cotto's was.Comment

exactly, thank you. why the fucck should he have lost his belt and all this diamond belt bizz and blah blah blargerty blargle.
they fixed it up right in front of our eyes. nothing we can do but sit back and watch them lie right to our face like we're ******.
kind of sad seeing people take the bait. very depressing.Comment

well then let him come in at that weight. no title shld change hands in a catchweight fight. i mean come on...ppl claim mayweather makes up rules. how is this not making up a rule. u must put ur title up, but not at the stadard 154, u must mme me half way.Actually, the WBO was going to strip Cotto if he didn't put his title on the line.
