According to both parties, the gag order isn't an "Official" order that's going to prevent the fight from happening. If you compare the negotiations this time around in comparison to last, we haven't heard ****. Arum making mention of glove size, purse split, and possible venues is nothing compared to the back and forth hoopla that prevented the fight from happening prior. From Oscar stating the fight was about done (LOL @ being misquoted) and both GBP (Floyd's promoter) and TR stating the negotiations are done, I don't see how Arum's claims are totally off base.

I think people are just becoming impatient. I'm confident we're gonna hear something official really soon.

Yep and I am as clueless now, as I was then, when I read his statement. I think Oscar was probably telling the truth(or what he thought was the truth) but Schaeffer wanted to keep it all gagged(as everyone promised) in case something fell through. At least I hope that is the case.

But I'm just wondering if this is a spin job then why haven't we heard from GBP about anything? Pretty sure they'll know if scumbag's spinnin' it and will be the first one to call out Arum's BS.

I really don't know what to think of it right now. I want to see things in a positive manner. But with Arum's history of lying, it's hard to take him serious.


I'm just about ready to hear that this fight won't happen this year, I really don't care at this point. And I see a lot of other fans are like this as well.


But if the fight gets made then the hype will come back.

they did it once already so why not again? i think that if they really were close to a deal everybody from both camps would be doing interviews and talking about it, even if not really saying much im sure they would just be confirming that the fight was close.

i mean its a huge thing, yet all we get is one or two statements. and after all these problems the deal is just done so easily, the fact that nobody from floyds camp has responded seems strange too. even if floyd himself was on vacation or whatever someone wouldve confirmed that he got a contract and was gonna look it over or something. this whole thing just seem like arum making **** up to make floyd look bad, like mentioned they already did the exact same thing once.

As far as I can see,both sides believe that their man is the cashcow!!That's the problem,when U got 2 great fighters even the split at 50/50,but have the winner take an additional 10% & make the fight happen!!But at the same time extra terms should never have been added to begin with!!

Just think about it for a second OP, if Arum is full of ****, don't you think Floyd's camp would've and could've easily exposed his BS. I mean it's not that hard for them to do it, Floyd himself could go on line or go to ESPN and say that there was no offer to begin with or Arum didn't offer what Floyd wanted at all. But then again, Arum is well known to f'ing lie, so i wouldn't be surprise either if Arum is not telling the truth.
