I would like to see this fight but not right now. Although Cotto's confidence is up due to a new trainer and coming off of a win, I think he needs 1 or 2 more fights.. Angulo (has an upcoming fight) or Cintron (despite the superman jumps, I think this would be interesting). I believe that if Cotto decides to box against manny he would be successful but he has too much pride to not avenge his loss in the same manner. I also think this catchweight talk is bull****. You can't take pride in being a multi-division champion if you haven't genuinely fought at the specific weight. 154 or bust... With all that being said, Arum is scum.

True. But Marg is a washed up bum now. Few in the US will buy his fights because he is a cheater and SSM(who looked like an avg fighter versus floyd) beat the **** out of him.

But I don't know why Cotto would give him the opportunity to make that kind of money. IMO, the best revenge to get on that piece of **** is to let him waste away fighting more tomato cans in Mexico.

For the most part he did....i think 1-4 or 5 he did..it wasnt until the late mid rounds when he started to come forward...he neutralized his speed going back..just like vs mosley.

I agree. If Cotto and 1 or 2 more fights the interest level would increase for a rematch. Also, Cotto needs to fight at the best weight for him and not fall for the old catch-wt BS again. I'm sure Manny Steward will be in his ear about that.

he's already a millionaire. he doesn't need to get hurt to feed his kids.

he'd get tons of money for any fight at this point anyway. he should've said no if 145 weakened him

health and safety comes first. i don't think cotto worries too much about what people think of him anyway

i agree on that, but it's still a ***** move to challenge the champion under a catchweight. if he can beat him at 147, there's no point in going for 145

True, but do you think the 145 limit hurt him? Just my opinion I don't think it did. I just didnt see the need to have Cotto at 145 at all other than mind games.
