NOTHING! A Bunch Of Excuses like:

"Manny Was Weak Because Of The Blood Test"

"The Fight Was Fixed, Manny Blew The Fight On Purpose" (seems like a popular excuse people are using now, even seen some Fedor fans use this LAME EXCUSE after he lose)

"Manny Was Small, Mayweather beat another small guy"

    "Manny Was Overrated"

"He should fight Martinez or Paul Williams"

"He should fight Margarito or Cotto"

    "He should fight Berto"

the HATE won't stop, just like after he beat Mosley, people went from saying "Mosley is going to beat Mayweather" to saying "Mosley was old and washed up"

Mayweather is in a Lose/Lose situation, he knows it

Pac would be yet another great fighter Floyd would add to his already impressive resume. Who else has toppage victories over undfetaed fighters like Hatton & the late great Diego. Not tomention hsi shut outs of 2 bona fide Hall of Famers in JMM & Gatti. Only mentioning a few.

Haters will always find a way to hate. However, objectively I think that a win over Pacquiao would be a big boost to Mayweather's legacy. Mayweather has fought a log of good opponents before, but Pacquiao would still be the best opponent he has fought.

Also, right now the best opponent that Mayweather could have fought and hasn't is Pacquiao, with the next best probably being Cotto. If Mayweather beats Pacquiao, then he can say:
          Pacquiao > Cotto
          Mosley > Margarito
          Hatton > Tszyu
          Castillo > Casamayor
          Corrales > Freitas

At that point all the "he's a ducker" and "he hasn't fought the best" talk starts to sound a little ridiculous. The only notable potential opponent that wouldn't have been beaten by Mayweather or someone Mayweather has beaten would be Paul Williams.

Right now Mayweather is at the height of popularity and has outsold the "hero of asia" and "FOTD" at every turn, even with Marquez and Mosley who have never been draws. He will never have the haters respect, legacy minimal, and can make good money on his own. So what does Floyd gain by beating Pacman? Is it really going to do anything for his legacy?

PS: Plz no trolling and flaming!
even though there is no chance that floyd will beat pac but if by miracle floyd beat pac i say respect for floyd for beating the congressman of the philippines. i will become a fan of him again.

Floyd shuts up a huge number of critics yet again...just as was the case with Gatti, Corrales, Baldomir, De la Hoya, Mosley, etc, etc. I cringe at the thought of people coming up with more excuses if he beats Pacman. Who will Floyd haters turn to next? Martínez or Williams, that's who...

Floyd gets a huge legacy boost considering he beats Pacquiao, especially how Pacquiao beat Cotto, Hatton, DLH, and Diaz...that is a hotstreak right there.

I just want to thank all posters who entered this thread and respectfully debated without personally attacking other posters.

I want Floyd and Pac to fight 50/50 full OST, and they have to have a 24/7 for the biggest fight of this decade. Lets just hope that GBP and TR have been playing us for fools all along and have this thing worked out.

If Pacquiao beats PBF he will have made me a believer and a fan. I hope pac fans will give PBF the same respect if he wins.
