Paulie Malignaggi is a third-rate guy and he got numerous HBO dates. What about Hatton, Pavlik, Gatti? Fighters that generate interest in America get on HBO. Period.
Sergio Martinez was a nobody from Argentina, but following his great performance against Bumena he's fought on HBO three times. People want to see him.
I'm really, really sorry the heavyweight champion of the world cant generate enough interest to be on HBO, but these excuses are pathetic. His fights are not what the American public wants to see. Get it through your thick, thick skulls. Boxing is business, and HBO would not stop showing a fighter that was giving them good ratings.
Lots of guys of all races and many different nationalities have generated ratings and interest for HBO. At this point the Klitschkos are just not among them.Last edited by paulf; 07-03-2010, 05:02 PM.

Kelly Pavlik was originally an opponent for Miranda, he wasn't supposed to win.
Even the very influential Bob Arum said in 2007 he had a difficult time persuading HBO to have Pavlik on.

If Khan were white, he'd have needed to accomplish a lot more before they'd put him on HBO.Originally posted by Freedom Fighter View PostEverybody Lennox ever stopped had been stopped before.
Wlad's opponents are underrated.

It's a fucking disgrace. Fuck HBO and fuck that ****** *** Greenburg.
Greenburg is a typical ***ish affirmitive action ******* *****. He just wants to have blacks and latinos on HBO. He's clearly prejudiced against White European fighters.
HBO's loss is Showtime's gain.
Showtime >>>>> HBO

Im sure the reasob is that they are now feeling bitterness towards the brothers. Because they are not Americans, and most importantly, they are both greater than Ali.
