If they dropped the K bros...
Then they better start dropping all their overpaid fighters they have under contract....
Matter of fact how about doing what Showtime does and that is stop signing fighters, and just get the best fights? Best fights/no rights is the way to go.
I feel the same way Jro.Comment

They showed him once before...on an undercard...where he looked descent in beating Daniel Santos to pick up a belt.I saw 2 of his fights prior to the Cotto one. He made Dirrell vs Froch look like Arturo Gatti and i vowed to gouge my eyes out rather than watch another one of his fights. Admittidly he showed more in the Cotto fight than ever before but he barley warrents a friday night fights spot let alone a main event in Yankee stadium and HBO hype.
Really, considering Foreman and Cotto were both Top Rank fighters and that the fight was taking place in NY at Yankees stadium, who would have been a better opponent to pair Cotto with? I just looked at the top 10 at 147 and 154 and I'm not seeing an opponent who would have been a better fit.Last edited by βetamax; 07-02-2010, 07:39 PM.Comment

I remember Manny Steward say that he told Wlad he had to KO Chambers in the 12th or people would say it was a boring fight.
Pushing an exhausted guy down in the 12th doesn't change what happened for the previous 40 minutes. What a joke.Comment

Greenburg feels sour Klitschkos pretty much destroyed every heavyweight HBO prospect they had. Just to think how much money Arreola would have made them if he was the champ? Or how about Brock? Peter would have been the new coming of George Foreman, if it was not for the brothers.Comment

Peter is not and has never been in the same league as Foreman. Foreman was an Olympic gold medalist and showed actual talent. Peter is just a fat limited heavyweight that can punch. So no, he would never have been seen as a Foreman.Greenburg feels sour Klitschkos pretty much destroyed every heavyweight HBO prospect they had. Are you dim? I was not talking about his actual quality, I was talking about marketing value and the quality of his knockouts against lower lever opposition.
All I am saying is that K2 lost HBO huge bucks. If it was not for Wlad/Vitaly, the belts would be owned by a combination of Arreola, Brock, Peter --- All HBo guys bringing in the revenue.Comment
