He is a highly skilled defensive boxer who in many eras would have won an alphabet belt. He's at least as good as Byrd was, if not better. Wlad just had a style that Chambers couldn't cope with, just as Byrd couldn't.

And all but one of Vitali's opponents since he came back from injury have been ranked in The Ring's top 10.
    Good post.

You could say the same about Hopkins, and many other HBO fighters - at least when it comes to the fights themselves.

Germans find the Klitschkos' fights very entertaining - more than 15 million of them tuned in to the Wlad-Chambers fight, and 50,000 watched it in the stadium.

Outside the US, most people don't find Mayweather's fights at all entertaining, although they respect his skill. Yet he's the biggest draw in boxing.

but they atrocious to watch on television & that's one of the main reasons why americans dont care for them. it has nothing to do with them not being american.

I like watching the Klits I think they are great fighters. It's their competition that puts me to sleep. The HW division is on life support because other sports are stealing all the athletic big men.

& that's why hopkins never was a great ppv draw. the germans watch the klitsckhos because that's all they got in boxing. i heard there was 3-4 million viewers for valuev vs holyfield. go figure. Americans know better. Americans lived through ali, foreman, frazier, joe louis, holyfield, lennox, & iron mike.

Those are pretty high standards of entertainment for the klitskchos to emulate which they have failed miserably.

as for floyd, he is not entertaining to watch sometimes bu he is american & he has a slick marketing campaign (fake thug wanksta villian personality). You can also visibly appreciate the man's defensive skills. Not the same with the klitsckhos.

I dont like the klitsckhos but i do respect them.

And this is coming from a big Adamek fan.
Arreola's face looked more busted up than when Vitali fought him and Vitali did his fair share of keep away in the fight too. I'm not saying Vitali fought him like a *****, because after all he did stop him. I just view Adamek as a more virtouso boxer than the Klits. And by me praising Adamek proves I'm not biased against European boxers.

I thought that Vitali's fight with Arreola did good TV ratings if I remember right. Anytime a fight on HBO does high ratings it maximes HBO's profits. So now that I stop to think about it I don't understand why HBO are kicking the Klits to the curb. Do those ratings only come from European TV viewers? Is this the problem?

38 year old, 4 year layoff, past his prime Vitali Klitschko completely dominated every round and stopped Arreola. He made Arreola cry like a *****.

Prime Vitali KO's Arreola in the early rounds.

Prime Adamek clearly beat Arreola, but it was a very tough fight for him and he took a lot of big punches from Arreola.

Vitali was way more impressive against Arreola than Adamek was.
