How can you shut down in the biggest match of your career?
Just like Shane said that he got tight in the Floyd fight.

      What is the difference?

I've always rooted for this guy to get big fights he's done nothing in those fights.

He still gets my respect though, until he gets his act together I don't see him in another big fight for quite a while.

Clottey is a solid fighter but always comes up short in his big fights. His biggest win is Judah and that is not saying much. Alot of excuses everytime he loses. For the Pac fight first is that he had the runs, then was that he didn't train enough or didn't have the right trainer. This is the first fight that I didn't see him use his head as a weapon.

I won't be dissapointed with him anymore cause his history shows that he can't win the big fights

The people on here saying that Clottey still has their respect are an embarassment to themselves. How can a boxer who says "I started feeling like didn't want to fight or something" and "...when I got to the dressing room I started feeling bad like I didn't want to go in the ring and fight" have anybody's respect??? He just needs to retire if he "doesn't want to fight or something". And to think I used to like that guy...smdh

I'm sure his first fight, if it is indeed a tune-up will probably be on FNF or some ****. If it's a big name, then maybe it will be a ppv, i don't know if HBO is willing to spend money to put him on again after that lack luster performance against Pacquiao.

I said from the very start that Pacquiao was going to dominate. I even said it was going to be a mismatch, but never did I expect that Clottey wasn't gonna try. Even when JLC was giving Mayweather a very hard time, Mayweather turned southpaw, even traded against the much bigger Castillo. Look at Mosley, stylistically Forrest was all wrong for him. Still Mosley faught hard till the very end and looked to land a big shot. Clottey was content on sticking to a style that wasn't effective against Pacquiao, and the reason he didn't open up was because he lacked the heart.

Clottey has to beat someone decent before he can rematch with Cotto or Margarito. More so Cotto since Miguel just came off a good win.

But yeah, Clottey is all excuses as usual.

                    You guys are fake.

You will turn on a fighter because he just wasn't able to perform on the biggest night of his life.

Joshua Clottey comes up small in every big fight he's ever had. Some people really think it's going to be any different in the next one. Actually, he doesn't deserve a next one.
