I'd much rather watch a prime Hopkins fight.

An older Hopkins could be very boring in some fights where Joe was consistently in good fights through most of his career.

Did joe have the technical skills of bernard hopkins? The perfectly timed counter shots, the setting up traps, the phenomenal defense, etc etc etc? Hell no! Joe was very good at what he did but he was no where near the boxer hopkins was, skill wise.

Keep telling yourself that.

Seriously though, I dont care if you hate Joe, if you think hes a cokehead, if you think Enzo was the worst trainer of all time etc...How can you not enjoy watching him fight. Just watch the 3rd round against Jones, yes I know RJJ was shot to hell, im not even going to argue that. But Joe put on a show everytime he got in the ring. He wanted action, thats why I think he struggled the most with BHop...he wasnt used to a guy slowing a fight down like that. Joe always looked to me like he was having fun in the ring. Never did I see a fight end where I didnt think Joe could go another 12 rounds. He made everything look easy. This thread isnt a debate about prime 4 prime who wins, because you cant argue that. Its like debating which religion is right, lets have a tug of war if i win joe would win if you win bhop. Doesnt matter. I think BHop is great, I think he is overrated in his prime and he is one of the few boxers who maintained his fighting level despite of age.
