I suppose you must be the guy who prepares the cheques for signing. All the agonizing and sweating for moths by you guys over how much Manny P. or Mayweather get paid, all the calculating right down to the last dollar, the sleepless nights, etc.could have been avoided if you had only come clean and let everybody know long ago about the money.

In fact, from the sound of you, you must know more about it than Arum himself, no doubt about it.

It's very unlikely that Arum would publicly say "I wish it was, it's considerably more than $10 mill before PPV, unless it was true, else Manny P would have the Revenue sharks of 2 countries sleeping under his bed. So what Arum is saying is that Manny P gets from $15-20 mill before PPV. That takes a hell of a promotion which only Top Rank can provide. None of the other promoters could dare to take it on with such guarantees.

Of course, you good folks have your own information about the money, and the fixation for calling Arum names is stronger than common sense with the BoxingScene posters.

Naturally you all expect Arum to lose money by providing you with the opponents you want, regardless of his great promoting skill and the fact that he's not just risking s few dollars to provide you with top fighing entertainment, but multi-millions.

However, you don't care, you want what you want, you want it, you want it........

Fortunately for the survival of the top promoter in boxing, you won't get it.

No some of us just think Bob is a lying piece of **** who is blocking manny and floyd from fighting because he is pissed ODH and floyd, 2 guys who he spent tons of money building up, decided his cut was too much, bought out their contracts, and made a ****load of money using their own business model WITHOUT Bob.

          Hello,

It looks as if you are agreeing with ncpitbull, which, considering your intemperate outbursts of profanity-laced invective against Arum, must have whoever noticed it, shaking his head in puzzlement.

Your outburst in post #13, was very like the one below, a contradiction.
If this is an unsuccessful essay at sarcasm, I can appreciate that, as well as appreciate the old saying that "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit". (don't blame me, I didn't say it).

I can understand the disappointment of a fervent fan, as you seem to be, but just think of where you'd get your huge matchups, once your happiness at Arum's demise had passed. All this sort of thing gas happened millions of times before, and once it's over, we just wait impatiently for the next "greatest attraction of the century" etc.etc.

          ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          ncpitbull:

From a financial perspective I can understand that. If $10Million was on the table, I much rather put Pac in with Margarito than Bradley, If I was Pac's promoter. I think Bradley presents more of a matchup problem for Pac than Marg. But as a fan, I would rather see the Bradley vs Pac matchup.

          *************** ***************** *****************

Good point! Please remind this to some of the irrational posters when they say floyd ducked marg to fight baldomir or manny ducked zahir raheem to fight morales again.

Good points! I am grown enough to understand the business of boxing. I do not take any credit away from Bob Arum. In other posts I have given credit to him and mr goodman for the top rank business model and the way they expertly create opponents to match their big income fighters against.

However, in the last few years Bob has become a detrement to the business, IMO, because he not only lost his 2 biggest stars, but they succeeded using a business model Bob told them directly wouldn't work.

As a result, Bob made a tactical error in having Manny fight Clottey. He made a huge mistake putting Pavlik in vs Bhop. He embarrassed himself by supporting Margarito's BS that he didn't know his hands were loaded. Bob is not on the top of his game.

I stand by my original statement regarding his actions in this potential may pac fight!

Fucck Pacquiao, Mayweather, Margarito and Cotto!Today's boxing is not about who is the best anymore! It's not about the strongest champion fighting the strongest opponent! It's about finding the strongest cash cow! Everybody is so fuccking greedy!

I thought Pac fought for the fans? Mayweather fights for the money not Pac. What happened?

Sounds to me like Pac's turning out to be "Money" Mayweather the 3rd.

As we can clearly see, Pac is making things difficult with his money demands now. Just as he did vs Hatton and Hoya. We expect "money" to be an issue with Mayweather but Pac?

Interesting considering that Mayweather always gets bashed about how he fights for money.

Pac fought Cotto at 145 but Clottey 147. Pac fights Clottey but Bradley isn't promoted enough. Pac fights Hoya at 147 but ducks Mosley from 141-147. He wants Cotto at 150-151 but agreed called out Yuri at 154. Now he even wants Marg-a-cheato and I'm sure that would be at some catchweight.

Isn't this what Mayweather got bashed for? How ironic!

I told everyone months ago, that Pac would come out of this looking very bad, selling less PPV and making less money than Mayweather. He already walked away once to fight in a court room rather than a boxing ring...... 'embarrassing to the sport.

It's funny how when Floyd wouldn't fight Margarito or Cotto because they couldn't generate the PPV money, Arum tore into Floyd perpetuating this whole Floyd is scared mantra. Some fans bought into it clamoring for Floyd to fight everyone from Paul Williams to Devon Alexander, totally disregarding the business aspect of the sport. Now that Pac's team has verbally confirmed that this way of thinking isn't just soley a Floyd thing, maybe some of the hating will calm down.....
