Real objective post for this ts.

Except that Floyd disagrees. Otherwise, this fight would have been made smoothly. OST is unnecessary and 50/50 purse split.
    _________

This fight could go either way. That's what makes it huge.

But I lean more on Mayweather throwing Pac off balance. Pac have been nearly dropped in many of his fights. May could possibly finish Pac.

If Pac can't do it in the early rounds to finish Floyd, he's in trouble. That's what many people say. But the opposite might happen. Floyd's punches are accurate. It remains to be seen how Pac could handle them. That will be the basis for this fight, for me, at least.

Nice post bro. But let me ask you? are you American? I think predictions here will go all the way to which fighter we like the most. Filipinos will say Pac, American will say Floyd.

The fact is that this is a very close fight. I'm not either American or Filipino (I'm Dominican) but I'm going with Pac in this one. As good as Floyd is, I don't see him overcoming, Pacquiao work rate, stamina, Punching Power, angles and killing instinct.

If you still doubt Pacquiao power ask Miguel Cotto, the guy is a mule, go back and review his slug fest with Colombian hard hitting Ricardo Torres and you will see why. In that fight Torres hit Cotto with so many clean power punches and never dropped him (except for a push) but when he fought Pacman he when to the canvas twice with punches that were not the hardest from Pacquiao.

Expect Floyd to be hit like never before and his skin at 33 wont hold. Pac will be busted many times but he is just used to that and Floyd only dispatch one or to punches at a time and this is not going to get the job dont against Pacquiao. Ultimately the southpaw stance of Pacquiao with be only extra trouble.

Im going with Pac by late KO or TKO.

I understand your perspective, but it's all relative. So, Pac couldn't land a high percentage of shots. He still clearly won because of sheer volume. Clottey simlpy didn't throw enough punches either. The game plan was to swarm Clottey and beat him to the punch, which he succeeded. % connect can be usefule in determing how effective your offense can be. Volume would be another driver of effective offense. I missspoke when I said that a good offense is ONLY determined by % landed, but it is important to understand that if I hit you with three punches and landed all three...it's still impressive (Mayweather, Clottey) Consider this, statiscally Clottey % connect was generally greater than Pac!!!
        Analysis

This fight could potentially been different. Notice the amount of damage Pac took after the fight as opose to Clottey.

        Later
I see your point. Clottey threw 5 punches and chipped PAc up a bit lol...

I can say this. If PAc throws a lot of punches at Floyd...Floyd ain't going to react like Clottey and cover up. To beat a man who throws a lot of shots, you match him punch for punch, and you pressure him backwards. Eric Morales did this to Pac and won...

I agree, Floyd will probably pick Pac apart. Cotto and Clottey with decent placement of punches damaged Pac. Although Floyd is economical with his punches they are effective.

I do believe Pac has "improved" over time however one noticeable constant is his defense. Pac still gets hit (frequently)

[QUOTE=LRcie03;8729001]The point is we wont know until they get in the ring. I think Manny has the power to knock out just about anyone at 147, and Floyd was wobbled in the Mosley fight. I just think if it goes past 5 without Mayweather significantly hurt, he'll adjust to Manny and beat him down.[/QUOTE

It's funny to keep hearing people harp on him being wobbled by Shane. This guys career spans over a decade and one punch is being used as the standard bearer that there's a chance he may get knocked out. Shane has one of the better ko % in his wins in boxing and he couldn't drop Floyd. I'm not saying Floyd has granite for a chin, but the notion that a guy that hasn't been legitimatly dropped his entire career is subseptible to being ko'd within 5 is laughable.

I remember that exact same hesitancy to believe that Floyd would stop Hatton.

The rationale was that if the brutal puncher Kostya Tszyu couldn't stop or deter Hatton, how would Floyd do that?
