Well actually, Floyd Mayweather is one fighter doing OST. Shane Mosley is another. Arthur Abraham. Mikkel Kessler. Many, many more in Germany and Denmark. So it's not ONE fighter.
Furthermore, see the testing in place right now in Nevada? The regular PED testing? Yeah, that. It didn't start "across the board." It started with one fight. Then two. Then three. In fact, it took nearly a decade before it was implemented "across the board".Comment

I haven't heard about that. Do you have an article regarding this demand? If so, this is a ****** demand that shouldn't even be considered.Comment

The smaller gloves are "punchers" gloves in that they have less padding and the punches are harder. I don't understand it but it seems in every big fight glove size is always an issue.Comment

As far as I know the issue in negotiations wasn't the type of glove, but the size of the glove, 10oz vs 8oz gloves. Nevada standard gloves are 10 oz, but if both fighters agree (which Floyd and Manny have been doing in recent fights) they can use 8 oz. From what I remember, that is a Nevada only rule, and the standard is usually 8 oz for the WW division.Comment

Yes, I know the cleto reyes gloves are punchers gloves compared with the grants... but if Floyd wants to use grants or other softer cushier glove, Manny should have no issue with that as long as Floyd lets Manny use his Cleto Reyes.

Here is an article back in Dec. 09' in first round of negotiations where we thought everything was going smoothly.
Later Friday it became a done deal, at least on the Pacquiao side, when he signed the paperwork, the source said.
Mayweather had previously agreed to terms with Golden Boy Promotions, his promoter for the HBO PPV fight, but it was unclear if he had signed a contract.
The source also disclosed other aspects of the fight, which will take place at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds for Pacquiao's title and match the top two fighters in the world, pound-for-pound.
The camps agreed to a 50-50 split of the money, which could be gargantuan. Many experts expect the fight to eclipse the all-time pay-per-view record for sales, which is the 2.44 million buys generated by Mayweather's 2007 victory against Oscar De La Hoya.
Both fighters will wear 8-ounce gloves but each fighter will be allowed to select the brand of gloves he will wear for the fight.
