Well actually, Floyd Mayweather is one fighter doing OST. Shane Mosley is another. Arthur Abraham. Mikkel Kessler. Many, many more in Germany and Denmark. So it's not ONE fighter.

Furthermore, see the testing in place right now in Nevada? The regular PED testing? Yeah, that. It didn't start "across the board." It started with one fight. Then two. Then three. In fact, it took nearly a decade before it was implemented "across the board".

Agreed. Now, that we have some big name boxers doing OST.. Let's get all of boxing to do it all year round.

I hope they we would have OST/Year round across the board one day but Rome wasnt built in one day, We have to start from somewhere and if we cant even get one of the biggest fighters in the world (Pacquiao) to do it what chance have we got?

Boxing does have a chance. Once the commission makes it mandatory, which may eventually happen, figthers have to abide by the rules or miss out on big pay days. If we push the Commission to make this a requirement, maybe we can get this started.

From what I understand, it was the type of glove (Reyes) and not the size. I could, very well be mistaken, but the type of glove was specified by Manny, for both fighters.

I haven't heard about that. Do you have an article regarding this demand? If so, this is a ****** demand that shouldn't even be considered.

The smaller gloves are "punchers" gloves in that they have less padding and the punches are harder. I don't understand it but it seems in every big fight glove size is always an issue.

Yes, I know the cleto reyes gloves are punchers gloves compared with the grants... but if Floyd wants to use grants or other softer cushier glove, Manny should have no issue with that as long as Floyd lets Manny use his Cleto Reyes.

Nevada standard gloves are 10 oz, but if both fighters agree (which Floyd and Manny have been doing in recent fights) they can use 8 oz. I'm guessing with floyd's history of hand injuries they want him using the gloves with less protection. The last time floyd was close to losing was Castillo 1 and he hurt his hand so if I'm ODh or Manny and I have leverage I absolutely tell him wear the other gloves.

Yes Floyd has a history of hand injuries. Against Castillo, Floyd actually hurt his shoulder (not sure about hands). However, there is no proof that Manny wanted Floyd to wear puncher gloves.
