Pac is fast but even against JMM you saw his speed neutralized most of the two fights. Floyds timing will make Pac look alot slower than he is.

I agree with you, Mayweather will definately be faster than Pac. That's why in my first post I mentioned if Pac could adapt to Mayweathers speed.

I agree that Mayweather can pick him apart if he just comes straight in, one thing you have to consider is that Pacs speed is light years ahead of Hatton. I think Clottey was shocked how fast Pac was, and didn't have a plan b to counter it. I don't believe Mayweather will try to go to the body early, because that will leave him open to that awkard uppercut that Pac throws(the one that hurt Cotto).

During the second round Mosley caught Floyd and hurt him. Shane went ballistic and start throwing wild ass shots..tiring himself out. He blew his load to early.

At the start of the 3rd round he expected Floyd to stay away and be afraid. BUT...Floyd rushed him and walked him down giving Shane no time to catch his breath. He put Shane on defense.

If Pac can't hurt Mayweather, I think you're right that FMJ will start to mix his combos later in the fight. Don't get me wrong, I think he'll throw bodyshots early, just to keep Pac honest.

Certain people will dismiss this with the usuall Hatton hate but in the first 6 rounds or so Hatton was able to pop Floyd pretty consistantly with his left jab - he even snapped his head back quick violently on a few occassions.

It was the same thing to a lesser extent with Oscar, I think with Ricky's height it was kind of an up - jab and Floyd definatley had trouble picking the shot due to his stance. Unfortunatley for Ricky he wasnt able to do much damage when he did land the shot and get Floyd off balance due to a combination of the following: Floyd's underated strength/His illegal but smart use of his forearms and Joe Cortez breaking up the action to quickly when Ricky was trying to work on the inside etc.

This would not have gone un-noticed by Roach. If Freddie can get Manny to pop his jab in an ffective, consistant manner then do what he does best with his inside work he might, just might be able to do enough damage to Floyd to get the job done on points.
