Is Floyd the best boxer of all time?

When I say Floyd is the MOST SKILLED fighter ever. It means just that.

Offense, Defense and smarts as a whole package. I dont think there is a fighter that combine all 3 of those like Floyd does. I mean there are several vids you can watch. Watch his technique. There is more then what meets the eye with Floyd, most of the posters on this site dont realize that and just let NSB posters cloud their judgment rather than turning the sound off and watching him fight.

I watch his technique. He has skill. i Never said he wasn't skilled. i just dont think he is the most skilled fighter of all time. But i don't consider somebody who just fights defensively the whole fight the most skilled fighter of all time. Just because he is undefeated and say he is the most skilled or greatest fighter of all time doesn't mean nothing.
If he was to sweep the rest of the elite competition when he had a chance to in their primes then we would of seen his skill set like you claim against the best. he ducked Cotto, Margarito, Mosley a couple years ago and fought him when Mosley was 1 1/2 years away from the ring when he was 38 yrs old., Now he is ducking Pacquiao.
Pacquiao skill set beat floyds same opponents worse then he beat them. Pacquiao has a Very good skill set too that is underrated in my opinion. ANd just because you might have more skills then somebody doesn't mean you really do or doesn't mean you will win.

SO its off of defense tho. IMO Hitting somebody with a counterpunch is like stealing the ball in basketball going on a fastbreak all the way by yourself and scoring, or and getting turnover in football run it down the field and scoring.

Floyd is not the best defensive fighter of all time neither.

When comparing skills you have to compare styles as well. Floyd could not have fought like Henry Armstong and be as successful as Armstrong. In the same token Armstrong could not have fought like Floyd and be as successful as Floyd.

You letting his style cloud your judgment of what skill is. Duran, Armstrong, SRR, Whitaker, are just as skilled as Floyd. Every single one of them had a different style that they perfected it. You can say he is one of the best but to say he is the best? How can you come up with such a claim? It is just ridiculous to say one fighter is the most skilled ever since styles have to be in place, eras, level of comp, all that... Too hard to say.

But, you're so adamant that he is that it makes you a delusional nuthugger. But, that is just my opinion and personally my opinion is just as good as the next man. But, with you is not like if you trying to give your opinion but trying to make it as a fact. And, that is just not the case.
