How many "would've been great" fights did Ref Joe Cortez ruined?

LOL. Exactly. He didn't get away with his usual b.s. tactics like he did against Kosta in Manchester. (Which is ultimately Ricky's best win. A win against a 35 year old Kosta who was there to collect his $6million and "pass the torch" as much as he was to fight.) Ricky Hatton was a fraud, and what happens to frauds? They fall hard, and they fall fast. Just like Ricky Hatton did.Joe Cortes prevented Hatton from doing what he likes to do and that's fight dirty , hold and hit and use tactics that take away from the skill of boxing.
Once Cortes took that away, Hatton was like a fish out of water and was handled.
The best part was listening to that ****** "Hatton wonderland" song just die off in mid chorus when Floyd landed that check hook on his jaw....Comment

Finally, some objective input from a Brit.
Hatton is to us what Pacquaio is too the Phillipines, Only difference Pacquiao actually have talent and his deserve his media worshipping over there, Over here Hatton is an overrated fighter just like any of our sport athletes.
I call all of them "Too overrated too overhyped"

Yes, and there's a very good reason for that: Prior to the Mayweather/Hatton fight Cortez TOLD Hatton he wasn't going to get away with his usual b.s. This was because the Mayweather camp had him look into it. And rightfully so! Hatton was notorious for holding and hitting, and excessive clinching! He did the RIGHT THING. Case closed.Comment

well if you actually watch the fight, as much as hatton had a rep for holding, it was floyd doing the holding early on in that fight, even lampley was saying during the fight that if anyone is gonna get a point deducted for holding, its gonna be floyd.Yes, and there's a very good reason for that: Prior to the Mayweather/Hatton fight Cortez TOLD Hatton he wasn't going to get away with his usual b.s. The boxing world can only hope that no referee will follow on the footsteps of one biased Joe Cortez who seemed overly eager to steal the spotlight from the fighters themselves.
Hatton has a point when he was recently saying he wants to fight floyd again . He knows that he only lost to Floyd because Cortez decided that Hatton should not be allowed to fight his fight.
Cortez also took too much pity for @ss-****d Lorenzo that he actually awarded him the victory against Soto.
Cortez hatred towards undefeated British fighters is so obvious. the Hatton issue is proof enough but there was also the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight wherein he actually did a 180 turn from his overly-intrusive way officiating in favor of Hopkins. But as successful as he was in ruining the Hatton fight, he failed to manipulate the bhop-Calzaghe fight
Are there any other big fights wasted by Joe Cortez ?
this is one of the dumbest things said in boxing... HOW THE **** THIS CORTEZ CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF HATTON-MAYWEATHER... I've watched that fight 3-4 times and I don't see what everyone is talking about? Hatton got KTFO get over itComment
