Dirrell/Abraham did about 5000 people but you bet your ass Dirrell/Ward does over 10,000 if it lands in Detroit. I see your point though and boxing really needs to adjust to the economy and also branch out to more cities. No way should nose bleeds for most boxing events be 50 to 100 dollars, should be more like 20 dollars.

agreed, those are the biggest draws in the US...outside the US, i dont think Cotto-Foreman would draw the 50K people in europe that watch the klitchkos or when Hatton fought
thanks man. I don't want it derailed.

Thomas Adamek is a good draw in Jersey. Bute is good in Montreal. Zab and croy spinks did 20k in st louis. We need local guys to have big fights in their "hometown".

But boxing is still looking for its next superstar after floyd and manny.
I think khan would be the best "cash cow" out of that list.

The only two PPV draws in the US are Mayweather and Pacquiao. As far drawing fans to the venue goes I would add Cotto(NY), and Margarito(West Coast). I wouldn't exactly call Juan Manuel Marquez a non-draw too. Juan Diaz in Texas is a big draw as well. But as far as PPV draws go it's only Mayweather and Pacquiao.

                      Muhammad:

no official numbers but he is doing arenas in the UK. This is why he said no to the tournament. He can bring guys over to england and make money. He only fought in MSG to introduce him to the US audience.
