Jones didn't want Don king to have any options, HBO offered Benn $3 million but he would have to break his contract with King to make the fight happen.

I think it was Square Ring who mentioned King wanting options. It was HBo - the network - who claimed Benn wanted too much money.

yeah, i remember how good jones was back in the day but, i do recall a guy named lou devalle that caught roy and knocked him down and had him hurt and that was when he had that certain glow around him... and lou couldn,t hit no where near close to what benn could... i,m beginning to think roy never really had a chin...

Lou was a light heavyweight, and it was a flash KD. As a MW jones, never been seriously hurt. He got caught with some amazing shots by toney and hopkins, but it wasn't enough to rock him.

roy looked good because MOST (not all) of the people he fought at that time were bums, im a huge roy fan but its true. and to say benn didnt stand a chance is ridiculous. tell you what go compare roys and benns resumes and tell me which one of them beat the better fighters. if you come back and say roy your foolish. dont even get me started on eubank, eubank pre watson would have made roy look bad and believe me with the chin and heart of eubank theres no way roy woud've ko'd him. oh and as for untouchable ive seen every single roy fight that was filmed there were a fair few times he looked average.
