but shaw is wrong when he says bradley is bigger than clottey. clottey beat up diego (RIP), lost a close fight to margo and cotto. bradley hasn't had the same kind of exposure and Arum is right, that's because shaw didn't promote him as well as he should have.

what shaw and bradley need to do is beat alexander and khan, then he will be a much better and bigger draw for a pac fight.
I personally feel that if "The Event" was Pac-Bradley instead of Pac-Clottey it would have done more PPVs.

If for no other reason, because of Bradleys undefeated record and championship at Jr WW.

If you threw the same promotional work as the Clottey fight for a Bradley fight, you could amp up Bradley to anyone who watched the promotions.. the guy is undefeated, never lost, and is the best fighter in his division.

I personally think it would have intrigued even more people than Clottey.

only reason why Arum made the Pacman vs Clottey match was because Clottey is with Top Rank also, so that means Arum don't have to split money with other promoters

I don't think Bradley has the popularity YET but it is growing, that is why Bradley wants to fight Khan or Maidana because he knows by fighting a Golden Boy Promoted fighter that would get him more money and more exposure

speak for yourself.....pac vs marg would still be bigger and more action packed than pac vs bradley...

Yes it would have been a better fight but Pac chose Clottey because he was the #1 contender at WW.

Also Bradley has never had a fight at WW and doesnt deserve the top guy in boxing in his first WW fight.

Another thing is if he fought Bradley, Arum would have to co-promote and would lose ALOT of money

Arum is looking out for his and Pacs best interest and he took the right path

Maidana would be outclassed but will **** him with his power punches and that would give him the edge over Bradley. Pacquiao vs Margarito is horrible for the sport, unless your Mexican. Pacquiao vs Cotto would be a very hard sell considering the dud Miguel dropped in the 1st fight. At this point, Manny vs Floyd is the only fight for either man that we wouldn't argue about seeing. Besides, Pacquiao would destroy Bradley.
I agree with your entire post

Who's Tim Bradley? Thats what the PPV would have been called if he had fought Pac instead of Clottey at Texas Stadium.

Yea Bradley is VERY unknown. He needs someone like Khan to get him more out there

Arum chose Clottey... Pac just agreed.

That doesn't matter, boxers move up in weight all the time.. the champion in one division is entitled to move up to the next division, just like Pacquiao did. Clottey was no more deserving than Bradley. Clottey was coming off a LOSS, Bradley has never lost.

Right, because Clotteys fanbase is just crushing Bradleys.

Neither of them hold fan bases... but undefeated records bring more to a fight than someone coming off a loss.

Not every fan buys the stuff Bob is selling. Bob went out of his way to market Clottey as a tough fighter. But fans have seen Clottey before. Bob never talked about Joshua Clottey in such glowing terms until it was time for him to fight Manny. Bob's plan was pump Manny and the stadium. That the fight was in Cowboy stadium got more attention than the opponent!
