But I would have like to have 50/50, that way one hindrance to the fight is removed. And I do think Pac has earned that one, hence team mayweather agreed to that on the initial nego. I don't believe his stock plummets by 10% just because of the Clottey fight. SMH.
    Come on tesla.

u just arbitrarily said that pacq has earned 50/50. actually more. 700k is 50% of 1.4 million.

This is the rationale behind pacq's cry for public help at the grown up negotiating table?
So, when Floyd was #1, he should have gotten the an even split with Oscar?

      LOL.

The large bets made on fights have nothing to do with the boxing community. And it's the large bets that determine the odds.

No, between Mayweather and Pacquiao, Mayweather is the bigger draw, period.

Serious and professional gamblers are the ones betting big money. People in the business (boxers, trainers, promoters) don't usually bet, and if they do it is mostly minor money. Of course serious gamblers do use boxing insiders for tips and information. Once in awhile you'll hear about fighters (like Nate Campbell for the Diaz fight) making a big bet on themselves and winning. In a major fight like Mayweather-Pacquaio, a $10,000 bet isn't going to mean **** when it comes to the odds.
