    Pac was pound for pound number one before people even dreamed of him fighting floyd . FAIL.

      Mayweather has the bigger Numbers PPV wise but i think its because he was against bigger names. I know him and Pacquiao fought both fought the same opponents like Hatton, Oscar, and Marquez, but Pacquiao fought Marquez before he started catching the public eye around the world. Pacquiao was only known to filipinos and boxing fans then. When FLoyd fought Marquez, they made it Floyds comeback plus Marquez was pacquiao's rival so of course it was going to sell. WHen he fought Oscar we were in the worst economic times in US History in the past 100 years and most thought the fight was going to be a mismatch because they thought pacquiao was to small so not that many people wanted to watch a mismatch. WHen FLoyd Fought Oscar, The Big numbers were more because of Oscar then Floyd even tho Floyd talked a lot of ****. WHen FLoyd fought Hatton, it was Hattons first BIG fight in the States so it was a USA vs Europe type of thing. WHen Pacquiao fought Hatton he almost did the same numbers.

      Plus Floyd fought Oscar and Marquez on mexican Hollidays. But Pacquiao could sell more seats then Floyd. Look at all his fights with Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Hatton, De La Hoya, CLottley, Cotto. THose fights had an atmosphere that Floyd cannot bring to the table. I say that Floyd is the bigger draw by not that much on television but not Live action.

      But in Reality if they want SUPER FIGHT numbers then they need eachother. with Eachother they could reach over 2 mil buys. without eachother they would keep getting around 1 mil buys which is still a payday

        How about this then ?
        Pac = P4P #1
        Floyd = The bigger draw

        a 50 /50 split is fine

        mate , i seriously dont care about purse splits . These guys could fight for pennies and i wouldn't be bothered , why should I? The point is that posters like the ts get hung up on who the bigger draw is whilst calling themselves "real boxing fans"
        And he doesnt care? making things up as we go, huh?
        I never called myself a real fan. Nor do I feel the need to proclaim it.

        BUT

        I'm not the one who refuses to watch shobox, fnf, telemundo, etc... becuz my fav fighter or even a named fighter is not in the bout.

        I spend hundreds annually on sho and HBO just becuz I knw i will get at least one fight a month. I buy every ppv except pacq/clottey and throw bbqs but not becuz of the names at the top but to see what the young prospects that get showcased look like. DVR, burn, and rewatch too. Bought a dvd recorder solely for this reason.

        I took my older brother to the fedex forum for taylor/spinks and educated him about the sport and the production behind a fight. This was my 1st live fight myself. But, the numerous hours I spend watching and learning about the allowed me to share something with my brother. I even had one older gentlemen listening in and praising my limited knowledge. Outside of my medical education and family, I love this shyt. With or without these two clowns, ill always ride with boxing.

        But when a guy gets a pass on some BS, i'm going to say something.

        So *** u "real fan". I'm proud to b a "casual" if ur the definition of a "real"

          We speaking present tense. When pbf came back, he should have been automatically put back at the top but we all wondered what that matchup would look like. Right?

              why? when you leave the sport on the top you don't come back on the top 2 years later by virtue of being there in the first place , you have to earn it , i give floyd credit , he's pound for pound #2 and i think he'll beat pac but you arguement that pacquiao is only there because the public want him to fight floyd is ludicrous , he earned that spot by fighting tough competition and affirmed his position by dominating guys who we would never think he'd stand a chance against ,

                wait! floyd is a known cherry picker, right? so after pbf retired pacq fought the same cherry picked opponents after the fact, right? and on top of that he may have had help with weight clauses and peds. Outside of alleged ped use, pretend it never came up. wtf has he really done to warrant his p4p status?
