The biggest advantage Floyd would have is his strength to hold and push Manny around. Pot shot, hold then elbow. That is where he is most advantageous imo. Manny's would be his activity, southpaw stance and stamina for the whole fight.

put it this way. if you looked at pacyow's face and clotteys face after the fight and you were asked who you thought won i think most would say clottey. i dont even remember clottey landing punches and manny was bubbled.

mayweather will stop pac rushing in real basic like.

I don't think Floyd punches harder than Cotto. If Pac can takes Floyd punches easily then Pac would be happy to throw as much punches as he can against Floyd pot shots. Pac could land 5-6 punches against Floyd 2-3. Pac will throw all kinds of high speed punches at weird angles non-stop in full 12 rounds until someone break down. Floyd knows and smart as he is Pac would be his toughest oppponent and mentally so strong. That is why he invented this 2 months OST on his favor instead of this accurate all year round testing like the Olympic athletes did. Pac will train for this one like there is no tommorow and will be prepared no matter what Floyd bring to the table. Pac has the capability to land a punch on Floyd he may not see it coming in full 12 rounds. Floyd may win but I tell you it will not an easy one but first he must comes out from his retirement right now and removes this road blocks he puts around himself.

Now, no more ignorant replies to ignorant posts.

I do believe Floyd will cause a lot of trouble for Manny. The defensive skills, the ability to counter punch and his simple out thinking his opponent in the ring. Mayweather capitalizes of his opponents mistakes and since Pacquiao has such a high work rate, the chances simultaneously increases that he will get countered and hit more clean. It's just a gradual increase in chance. Although we can't rule Pacquiao out completely since I do believe he has the first 2-4 rounds before Mayweather figure him out and will star punishing him. If Pacquiao can shock and stun Mayweather with more of the hits that Shane managed to land on Mayweather, then we might have an extremely tense and interesting fight on our hands.

Yes but you don't consider the fact that a larger amount of fewer hard hitting blows, eventually will exceed that one hard punch due to him not getting the time to recover, + he will lead big on the scorecards if that's the scenario. You can't rule Mayweather out according to his punching power, that's like ruling Pacquiao out due to his defensive ability. It doesn't work because they're both underrated.

The early rounds are vital, if Floyd wins the early rounds then you'd have to think that Pacquiao only has a punchers chance, but if Pacquiao banks a couple early then we may see Mayweather open up a bit more and we'll have a close and dramatic fight.

I'll be interested to see how Manny reacts to Floyd's counters, if he is getting countered often and continues to walk into them hoping to land then he could get KO'd, but I'm not sure I see Floyd going all out for a KO unless he lands a few 3 or 4 punch combos in succession then we may see him try to do a Round 8 of the Hatton fight.

Floyd will turn Pac's aggressiveness against him, when Pac tries to outwork Floyd and he keeps getting countered, he will have to slow down. Some people think Pac will throw punches like in the Clottey fight...........
