Ward's overall intangibles and ring generalship will pull this out. Virgil hunter has dirrell figured out and ward will follow the plan to a T.hope some how this fight gets a neutral venue.the only way I see dirrell winning is if he sticks and move the WHOLE 12 and make use every bit of that 18x18 or 20x20 feet of space of that squared circle. He has the most disciplined through out , ward will eventually figure out dirrell though.then it's a wrap for him.

i hope dirrell jumps on ward from the go, he needs to get wards respect with that power jab from the orthodox stance from the start and try to hurt ward in the first round, he's right about being first there close in speed dirrell is a little faster but being first will tell the story ,ward made sure he punched green first last night

          Bony head?

As Panda said, besides the Kessler fight he has no record of headbutting opponents. And he wasn't the one clinching last night either.

Yep...and if they weren't such good friends, he'd beat him fully to death. Poor Dirrell's got zero chance in this one.

He has as much chance as anyone else in the Super 6 does. He probably has the style best suited to coping with Ward, of everyone in the tournament. Ward will probably win, and will be the strong favourite, but it won't be an easy fight for him. Dirrell's lateral movement, speed and timing will create a lot of problems for Ward, especially if Dirrell can get his jab working effectively.

How will Ward handle someone who is faster?

Dirrell will be the underdog and I will take my chances with him even though mentally Ward is stronger. This fight will be similar to Jones-Hopkins I.

Dirrell is still longer and rangier than Ward and if he plays it smart he can make it look like Ward should not belong in the same ring with him.

That is easier said than done but Dirrell has the tools to beat Ward.
