I agree.. Dirrel is good but Ward is a complete fighter. He's got a lot of tools...
In his last two fights it looked like he was fighting sparring partners practicing different things.. He is MUCH better than every other boxer in this tourney. Most people don't know he won the gold medal at light heavyweight and that's not the weight he fights at. Ward knows he's good.. He will do whatever he wants to do with Dirrel.. too complete a fighter for any in the tourney. The tourney is Wards coming out party.

As a person, I like Dirrell more, Guys a real class act. But Ward is so focused and determined in the ring, I gotta give it to him. His ability to adapt is a big part of his great ring smarts.

Dirrel fades late... Best case scenario is him splitting a few of the early and middle rounds. Power or speed alone is not enough to defeat a complete fighter.

That is easier said than done but Dirrell has the tools to beat Ward.

I see this going back and forth but I think that that dirrell will run out of steam in the later rounds allowing ward to rack up enough points for a decision.

Dirrel is good but he's just not good enough to beat Ward.

He has the most disciplined through out , ward will eventually figure out dirrell though.then it's a wrap for him.

Anyone who saw Chris Byrd vs DaVarryl Williamson might have an idea what I mean. That was the worst fight I have ever seen, and it was a title fight.
I sincerely hope it does not effect the way they would normally fight each other had they not been friends. I'm certain we'll be able to tell if it does
              Dont give it another thought

              It wont be a problem.

for the first time in his pro career and maybe in his life ward is up against a guy with huge physical advatages over him. handspeed, footspeed, reflexes, height and power.

what ward has is better fundamentals, more well rounded skills, higher boxing IQ and more mental strenght. will it be enough to beat dirrell though given that dirrell also has the stylistic advantage, anytime u have two pure boxers who like to fight on the outside the taller one usually has a tremendous advantage (hearns-leonard, breland-starling). then again we saw last night ward is a great inside fighter too, but can he get dirrell up against the ropes like he did green? dirrel has much more movement, is much quicker and throws alot more punches and from diffrent angles. he has power on those shots too.. i dont nknow how the ifght will turn out i just know we will see some world class boxing and a great matchup of styles and talent. this fight is what the sweet science is all about, i cant wait.

I do not believe that Dirrell has the skill to do that.

Almost all intangibles can be countered with skill, and that is what Ward will do.

i agree, but king punchuwenyudown arthur shortened the longevity of what you just talked about by who knows what amount. he maybe can do the matrix for a few more fights, but we'll see.
