Very true... Green was doing much of the clinching, holding...Ward had one hand free and was using it.

If fans found the fight boring then the blame goes to Allan Green not Ward. Andre did what he had to do and fight his fight. Green just wasn't game enough to fight his fight.

I have no problem with people saying that fight was boring. That type is not everybody cup of tea. However, it wasn't Ward fault for anybody to feel that way. It was Green fault.

Yes, it was. Ward set the tempo of the fight, by going the B-Hop route.

Ward clutched on to Green's left arm like a woman with her Gucc* purse and punched with his left. That's not skill to me, that's a cheap tactic and an illegal one at that. Green doing the same in the later rounds didn't make it any better.

But, the major blame goes to the ref, he allowed the fight to go that way.

It reminds me a little of Ricky Hatton. The style works though, and he's got other dimensions as well. he won't be able to fight that style for a whole fight like he did against Green. I thought he boxed beautifully against Kessler.

he won, very, very clearly and does have brilliant boxing skills, however, last nights fight was a cuddling bore fest. A man with an Olympic gold medal, a world title and leading the super six, NEEDS to perform with a far more entertaining, natural boxing style. You knew how this fight would turn out after the second round. Awful fight.
