i just watched it, it was better than i expected. But thats only because i read so manyposts about how **** it was before hand and had VERY low expectations. Poor fight, but not as bad as its being made out to be

The fight wasnt boring, I saw alot of great inside boxing. Most people that have ever boxed can understand how hard it is to stand directly in front of someone and not take any punishment. Ward's style might not be for everyone but he seems to understand that boxing is about hitting without getting hit back.

I loved the fact that Green stopped throwing punches towards the laters rounds to protect himself from being countered. Ward managed to take Green out into the so called deep water and drown him.

idk why ppl are bitching so much about the fight, it was a good fight. what makes boxing the best sport in the world is that a fight can play out in so many diffrent ways, as long as punches are landing a real boxing fan can appreciate all of them.

the only ppl who say it was a terrible fight are ppl who got dissapointed, eighter cuz they wanted ward to lose or because they expected a brawl in which case they are ******ed or some ****.

it was a good fight, its not wards fault it was one sided, what should he do take ******ed risks when he has the fight in the bag just to entertain a few fans? his job is to win, if its a FOTY candidate thats just a plus. u dont feel the punches, u dont suffer the consequeses of the damage and u havent put in the work to get to this point so who are u to say he should risk his title rather than go for a easy win?

as for the holding i think ward gets too much heat, just like the headbutts against kessler it was coming from both sides but for some reason ward gets all the blame.

i loved the fight, it was a interesting stylistic matchup and one fighter showed a dimension we havent seen in him before to dominate the other man. this was a better fight than froch-kessler imo, looked like two c-level fighters just swinging away, i almost fell asleep. ward fights at a higher level as far as quality goes and id much rather watch a great fighter portray the sweet science in all its glory than two average joes just punch eachother in the face with much less skill involved.

no way in hell was this a better fight than that

look i don't care how you want to put it the fight was a stinker the worst fight of the tournament so far and i do blame green more than ward for that

but seriously ward's style is horrible to watch it's not about taking unnecessary risks as you put it but for all the criticism mayweather receives on this board for boring fights i find him way more interesting to watch than ward he slips punches stays in the pocket pot shots

ward hits you quickly before you can hit him then ties you up thats not boxing imo and it's ****ing boring

bhop is more exciting than andre ward

**** fight but he did what he had to do. at least we know he can fight on the inside too. he can jab opponents and out-box and out-work them, fight on the inside and also switch-hit.. all-in-all a very talented boxer.

It really is not Andre Ward fault if you found that fight boring. Blame it more on Allan Green who was unwilling to let his hands go.
