i actually couldn't believe it when they said ward is like roy jones only technically better

tarver never fought the real jones anyway so his perception of roy is warped because he knocked him out

ward is good but i can't see him being the best fighter in any weight division which is what roy was

plus why does ward hold so much?? like to make up for the fact that he doesn't want to box the whole time he jumps in with one jab then holds then does the same thing he doesn't get hit much fighting this way but roy was able not to be hit standing infront of you with his hands down feinting counter punching daring you to catch him making a mistake and he could knock you out with one punch i see none of that from ward

who has he beaten kessler and green?

you're tellin me that at super middleweight he could take out james toney or mike mccallum or bernard hopkins at middleweight i can't see it

tehnically maybe he is better than roy at fundamentals by roy was so incredible in every other area that i really can't see how they could say andre ward is better than him

At the rate he is going, I see this being the case. One thing that I LOVE is how focused and dedicated he is. Dude is tough. Very tough and as I said, its going to be hard to beat him. I have him winning this tourney.

The commentators on prime time were a bunch of idiots, i heard them call Ward the next Ray Leornard & then at the end of the fight the next Roy Jones Jr. There styles are completely different, if anything he's fighting more like B.Hop.

i'm not sayin that he is clearly a good boxer but honestly why are why people hyping this guy up so much i've been more impressed with andre dirrell than i have with ward he has had tougher fights in this tournament and won both of them imo

and benn was relentless there isn't one guy in that division aside from maybe bute or froch that could **** with nigel he'd put protected fighters like ward to sleep

So far everyone has had their fair share of tough opponents. Kessler was considered the toughest in the tourney... that's until he fought Ward. You also have to remember Kessler just beat Froch (one of Dirrell's tougher opponents).

Andre Dirrell is a good fighter, but I appreciate Ward more. Lost his father as a child and has been on a winning streak ever since he was about 13.. including grabbing a gold at the Olympics on the way. Basically, every tough obstacle put in front of him he has conquered - that's 13 years of winning.

I agree Nigel Benn was a good fighter. But boxing is not only about strength.. you know that right?
