I don't know why you acting like a *****. didn't you read my initial post where I said it wouldn't have made a difference.? But you can't deny that ricky's bread and butter was taken away from him that night by that idiot cortez.

LOL but don't get me wrong floyd would have beaten hatton regardless by TKO but I just wanna know which is which. Is it legal or illegal??
This is the dumbest thread I have seen on this site in a looooooooong time. What does the Ward/Green fight have to do with Mayweather/Hatton? Ward and Green were both clinching. Neither were complaining. Both were hitting each other while clinching and landing good punches, so even though they were clinching, there was no let up in the action. Also, neither were engaging in illegal punches, which means holding with one arm while hitting your opponent with the other, which was Hatton's primary tactic in all of his fights. How the hell is this related to Mayweather/Hatton?

I still remember that fight clearly. Joe Cortez ****ed Hatton over with his excessive officiating...

To be far, this isn't open to debate as far as I can see. Cortez did rip off Hatton. Though Mayweather did bash up Hatton inside anyway.

I guess it's like a team in the world cup coming up against a stronger team. This stronger team has many great players, the other side just one - a great striker. In the first 10 seconds of the match that great striker gets sent off for no reason, giving them no real hope.

i agreed in every post......Cortez robbed Hatton. He should have let him hit and hold, wrestle and clinch excessively the same way Hatton is allowed to when fighting in the UK

re-watch the fight a few times, the more and more you watch it the more you will realise Cortez had very little influence at all. Besides he always refs the same way.......he never let's fighters clinch or wreslte excessively.

It's legal if you're fighting at home and you have a referee who is in your promoter's pocket.
