No doubt Hatton got jobbed in that fight. I agree Floyd would have won regardless, but had he been allowed to fight like "billygoat Ward" does in every fight he would have at least been in the fight at some point.

letting them fight inside and dirty he was still disadvantaged.....Floyd would have had that elbow in his face even more...........he got soundly beaten inside and outside. Seriously, think about the skill disparity when one eliter fighter knocks out the another "elite" fighter with a check hook stepping backwards. How often do you see other fighters employing a check effectively to curb an agressive opponent?? Not only did Mayweather do it consistently throughout, he KO'd Hatton with a highlight reel punch.

Oh Floyd handled Ricky on the inside. He took what was supposed to be Ricky's game and beat him at it. But Ricky came in with no plan B. He never got to try his plan A, and he got knocked out trying to just take Floyd out. But as to if Ricky would have gone leaping at Floyd had he been allowed to rough house and had not got the point taken away is in disupte. I personally think Floyd wins a wide UD if Ricky is allowed to fight his fight. He jumped at Floyd out of desperation and got clocked.

Floyd is better at fighting inside than Hatton is. If they fought inside, Floyd would have knocked him out at exactly the same time.

How do you know this? Hatton was taking shots to get to Mayweather only for Cortez to jump in as soon as he got there. Cortez started to allow inside fighting when Hatton was already battered and tired from constantly taking shots to get inside. Cortez killed any chance Hatton had.
