Green grabs him then allows himself to be pushed to the ropes so Ward pushes him and connects with short shots on the inside against the rope, this is how what ppl are complaining about went.............you can do that in boxing.
Green only grabs him after Ward comes barreling into him head first after throwing one punch. Green is also to blame, but Ward is the catalyst for all the holding.
You must be joking. There was nothing to be learned there other that if you're ever in Green's shoes you have to pivot to get the other guy off your chest.
If you wanna see a tutorial on inside fighting, watch Castilo/Corrales or Rafa/Izzy 1 2 and 3.
Thats real inside fighting, no holding necessary.
I've seen all of those fights more than a few times Jack. And while I do agree that they are great examples of inside fighting, it does not take away from the fact that Ward fought effectively on the inside tonight. As you stated Green need to pivot and turn Andre, which he did on a couple of occassions. The problem with that is he had no answer for Andre being in his chest all night, the body shots on the inside(that were not caught by every camera angle). What the problem is was Green's competitveness tonight that is what made the infighting a little bit more unbearable for your taste. I think Andre did very well on the inside tonight and took the fight out of Green.
Not good Jack............Not good. It wasn't boring it was a tutorial on inside fighting honestly.

That's EXACTLY where you are supposed to put your head while infighting.
Guarantee that this guy used to slag off Hatton as a mauling, wrestling, holding and hitting chump.
I must admit, it is very funny now now to hear fans that would have shat on Hatton for any form of clinching, even though it never got anything like that bad, and yet it is now the new best thing and they have always liked it.
Ward is an ugly ass fighter to watch, but I still think he would've beaten the guys he did even without that being a factor. I think he probably is going to win the tournament. But that's not saying much to me, because none of the fighters in the tournament really impress me that much. Sounds harsh I know. But it's just my opinion.

Jack, stop it thats not what happened at all and you know it.....Ward was totally willing to fight on whatever terms Green wanted to fight at, and was doing well on the outside and inside. Ward fought a very skillful fight and made due with what Green gave him even if some found it unentertaining.
