To be fair, Allan Green was just as much at fault for the holding.

He just stood there, flat footed like a mummy for the clinch, and he couldn't fight worth a lick on the inside, Ward got in some nice short punches.

If Green had gotten on his toes a bit and established a range with his jab, there wouldn't have been as much clinching.

He definitely got away with using the head, he was sticking it under Greens chin in the clinches all night.

Exactly, Green waited and posed way too much. During the fight I was calling for Green to shoot that uppercut up the middle as Ward leaned in. That would have taken away the incentive of Ward to smother him. Green had to time Ward coming in so that he can create space for his punches, but he was smothered and he got beat.

I know man. take for example the hatton-floyd fight. Ricky wasn't even allowed to clinch and was separated once they did clinch. Meanwhile Ward just straigh up mauled green and the ref didn't do anything. Fill me in guys.

This is disgraceful, not only for the fact that its ugly and illegal, but its boring as ****.

I was starting to doze off by the 7th round. Green's dumb ass didn't help any just standing there like a lummox not throwing punches either.

              Garbage fight all around.
Not good Jack............Not good. It wasn't boring it was a tutorial on inside fighting honestly.

Green was holding some, but it was Ward falling into his chest after every punch he threw and smothering the **** out of Green.

Ward always comes barreling in head first and just pushes himself into the other guy.

                He's the initiator.

That's EXACTLY where you are supposed to put your head while infighting.

You must be joking. There was nothing to be learned there other that if you're ever in Green's shoes you have to pivot to get the other guy off your chest.

If you wanna see a tutorial on inside fighting, watch Castilo/Corrales or Rafa/Izzy 1 2 and 3.

Thats real inside fighting, no holding necessary.

Green grabs him then allows himself to be pushed to the ropes so Ward pushes him and connects with short shots on the inside against the rope, this is how what ppl are complaining about went.............you can do that in boxing.
