J.T. would have never just stood there and got the hell beat out of him without fighting back, win or lose Ward vs Taylor would have been much more exciting.
Agreed. Ward is very athletic and hard to hit but JT would've had more success vs Ward. JT is a much superior boxer from the outside than Green.

you are under-estimating Ward..... and no way could JT handle Andre right now.....

I'm fkn loving this guy Ward.....

..... and his comments before the fight were great.....

" I will make people respect the dog in me "

..... he is one of the most exciting fighters out there right now, and he is going to be a superstar, I'm sure of it.

The way he made both Green and Kessler look useless and inactive is no coincidence. The fact that he was 115-5 in the amateurs tells quite a bit as well.He has a lot of potential.

It will be interesting to see how Abraham deals with him... I see Ward shutting him out as well. The Dirrell and Ward fight will be a very technical fight-and probably the toughest fight for him.
hey green couldnt even believe how bad ward was pushing him around. he totally out classed green. did it pretty easy too!!!! i was very suprised how easy ward made it look. i kept yelling at the tv, you talked all that trash. and now you wont even try to fight this man? but every time green punched ward would counter him and make him a submissive. dam good show ward.

I'm intrigued to see Ward vs Dirrell, however I do question how much their friendship will effect the quality of that fight. I know they both say 'this is business, and we'll put our friendship aside for business' (and yes, I know they're professionals etc. etc. etc)....but these guys are very good friends. Anyone who saw Chris Byrd vs DaVarryl Williamson might have an idea what I mean. That was the worst fight I have ever seen, and it was a title fight.
I sincerely hope it does not effect the way they would normally fight each other had they not been friends. I'm certain we'll be able to tell if it does.

adre ward will do good as long as the ref's allow him to position his
opponents with his head on the inside.allen green is extemly limited.
& had no legs.dirrell fight should show everybody how he can deal
                  with a elite fighter.

                    The dirtiest fighter in boxing!

Green sure was useless but Ward is as dirty a boxer as any I've seen in the last few years. He often leads with the head or follows up with his head. He grabs, clinch all the time. He also pushes his opponent in the ropes all the time, etc. Honestly, he can play this game in Oakland with an inept ref but if he tries that kind of tactic elsewhere, he's going to get penalized or even disqualified if he doesn't adjust.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he isn't good, that would be denial... No, ward is an excellent boxer but let's face it: he's the dirtiest elite boxer in the World and his fights are real borefests.
He's going to need mad promotion to eventually be able to sell pay-per-views because right now, I can't imagine any casual boxing fan who'd want to pay to watch that!

My interpretation of what he did against both Kessler and Green, was that he dictated the terms and did so skillfully. He took both their hearts, dominating them in the process and he's still very young, this tourney was the highest level of competition he had ever faced and so far, he (Wards) appears to be the goods.
