Comments Thread For: Andre Ward vs Allan Green Early Results From Oakland

At the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, the final bout in the second stage of the Super Six Boxing Classic takes place, with Allan Green (29-1, 20KOs) making his Super Six debut against WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (21-0, 13KOs). Green, the big underdog, will attempt to unseat the champion in his backyard. A big hometown crowd is expected to back Ward. If Ward wins, he would replace Arthur Abraham as the tournament points leader. [Click Here To Read More]

Is it the lack of commentating, or is that referee annoying?

edit: my stream for some reason doesn't have commentators.

Ward pretty much won this fight in infighting and... Other small tactics.

That ring generalship is the best out of the super six by far and top 10 in the sport rite now.I can't wait to see him and dirrell to see how that plays especially if it's fought outside of Oakland.I think DRE from oaktown takes either way , but I know for a fact dirrell will make it more competetive.won't be a basic shutout like this was.bring on the flintstone..

I think Wards toughest fight in the tourney is Dirrell, both of them are natural athletes with the ability to get off first.

Wow, Ward put on a boxing clinic!! Can't wait for Sept 25 for the Dirrell bout. Green looked like a beaten fighter from the first bell. I didn't expect for him to get dominated like that. He made excuses after the fight, but if(and that's a big IF) any of them are true, then I hope he doesn't make the same mistake in his training up to the Kessler fight. Kessler leaves himself open a lot and if Green comes in using the jab that he is capable of throwing but he lacked tonight, then I can see him giving Kessler problems if not stopping him. Green better step his game up tremendously though, cause he looked horrible tonight.

I agree. I think the Ward vs Dirrell fight will be the best fight in the tournament.
