Like it or not, Andre Wards career is setting up to be an all time great

People for the longest time bitched about how slow Andres career was progressing, but that can not be said any more. He may be slightly older than other greats when you compare them to when they took off, but with only 20 bouts under his belt he put on an impressive showing against a person many consider to be the man and that speaks volumes.

As a gold medalist it just further enhances the resume. The guy is looking like he is heading down the Sugar Ray Leonard path. Now, I am not saying that he can keep this up but it is starting to look like he is the real deal and his team did the right thing managing him. Andre can really benefit from this tourney and if he does go through it without a loss it can really make up for the slow start to his career. Not many all time greats could say they cleaned out their division under 28 bouts, especially a loaded division.

Andre Ward might be an ATG but JCC Jr is a legend. He has twice as many wins. 42 have tried, 42 have failed. All roads lead to JCC Jr.

Yes Ward will continue on to bigger and better things. Continuing to tighten up his defense, he will have a long career, hardly losing any rounds during his prime like the greats, such as Jones Jr, Floyd, and Hopkins, those guys hardly ever lost a round at their peak.

I agree he is a quality boxer.

I however need to see him VS Dirrell and see hwo he deals with him before I make my judgement.

Sometimes speaking too soon can backfire.

Heck I have points on Ward VS Green but you never know in boxing.

lol!!!!!!!!!! All this ward **** sucking is killing me. How many boxers have won gold medals? How many of them are atg????

Bhopreign is being as ****** as usual, the kilts win the highest percentages of rounds right now in boxing bar none, yet no mention. Lol! Suck ass!

Look, ward is talented. He looked strong against a good fighter in kessler. He went the distance with Miranda in a competitive fight. THAT'S IT!!!!! That is all. I don't need to remind people how many guys knocked the wee wee out of Miranda do I? I don't need to remind anyone about how kessler looked in his fights leading up to the ward fight do I?

Ward is a good fighter with ONE good win.

Terribly dumb logic. Kessler before fighting ward was supposed to be the favorite to win the tournament, before his close fight with Froch, Ward wasnt exactly favored to dominate a guy whos only loss was to Calzhage.

Ward has pass every test with flying colors, and a victory against Green would be another step to a career thats been moving along very smoothly.
