I'm gonna lose alot of respect for Cotto if he takes this fight, it would be an embarrassment to his "warrior" spirit which I really do respect, but this would make him a fcking joke. Even if he does kill Jr in 4 rounds - why not take on Mosley at a rematch at 154 lbs? thats more respectable! or hell even a Martirosyan fight or a Cintron fight. Chavez gets suspended and gets a title shot in his first two fights since the ruling and Margarito....you guys know already.....fights a journeyman in MX and all of a sudden will get a shot at the title? Fck this, this is why its so fcking hard to be a boxing fan, much less actually back up these fighters. And the sad thing is that while trying to reward true fighters, casual fans will just eat this **** that Arum feeds them. arum seriously needs to be removed from boxing.Comment

[QUOTE=Ruffus74;8659583]Cotto's resume: Justin Juuko, Usbaldo Hernandez, Cesar Bazan, Demetrio Ceballos, Victoriano Sosa, Lovemore N"dou, Randall Bailey, DeMarcus Corley, Ricardo Torres, Paul Malignaggi, Carlos Quintana, Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Tony Margacheato, Joshua Clottey, Manny Pacquiao, Yuri Foreman...w/ only 2 questionable loses, got beat up w/ bricks for 11 rnds (still some people take pride about this, even when 3 of biggest Mexican fighter ever criticized this: Chavez Sr., M.A. Barrera and Finito Lopez) and some rumors of Pacman taking Ariza's special blend (has a perfect opportunity to show the world he's clean and don't take the f***ing test) STILL some talk **** about Cotto. Arum will sell his mom for $$$, this guy doesn't have a soul...he's squeezing Cotto the fullest, what better than make him fight TR fighters. Me Cotto will try to get Chavez Jr 1st, then Berto early next yr @ 154 cause Berto said he will go up, Margacheato in NY on eve of the PR Day Parade w/ a split of 80-20 and finish my career w/ rematch w/ Manny if he still available end of 2011. I think he paid his due to finish his career on his term.!!!![/QUOTE
man don't even come in here thowing in these names, some are so misleading,,jukoo was a jr lightweight/lightweight who had lost 5 out of 8 when he faced the always much bigger cotto when he fought at 140...ubaldo hernandez had no victories in his 2 previous fights when he faced cotto,,,ceballos? whos that? a former champ?....randall bailey's record at the time isn't that great,he had gone 3-3 before facing cotto, hardly impressive...corley had lost 2 of 3..judah hadn't even had a victory in his previous 3 fights before he faced cotto, those victories arent as great as you try to make them look,.he faced these guys at the right time, thats the difference..,,i always say against the tough ones he ran...margarito,pacman and clottey...Comment

like i said, when the rematch gets made, we will see.hahahahah... so did the "plater wraps" help margarito take cottos power? you gotta be ***en kidding me, if he couldnt stun him with his best shots what makes you think hes gonna stop him just beacause you think he had plaster? LOL maybe u skipped the second round where margarito shook cotto..
your confusing me for a huge margarito fan, im not really... i just like him as a person... i always knew he was gonna beat cotto the *** up because his style was bad for him..
i dont care how ****ty he looked, margarito still beats cotto in a rematch.
cotto was no willie pep against foreman either..
lmfao...........that **** is hilarious
cant blame him, he went to his daddy's country (mexico)Comment

the impact it had? you people are retarted,,what impact..do you know or do u all act like you don't know, the results were done on the substances he had and nothing hardened, that's a fact,it was tested,,so stop with the excuses and even worse that there is no proof it was used in his fight, and if it was it was proven in the testing that nothing hardened..You trully are a complete idiot. You say Margacheato has the style to beat Cotto and that he shook Cotto in the second round. You seem not to want or be able to understand the impact that plaster had on Cotto on that night. Margacheato without plaster has no power at all, he is a feather fisted fighter and that was proved in the Mosley and Garcia fights, and had it not been for the effects that plaster had on Cotto, Cotto would of KOed him in the latter rounds or won a dominant UD. So it wasn't his style that won that fight but the plaster in the wraps.
But u know there is no point in educating an idiot like yourself, you lack basic common sense and a minimum level of intelligence to understand these obvious things.
It's a damn shame there are people in this world like you who would do anything to defend a cheater and discredit a true warrior who was in such tip top condition that he could endure brick punches for 11 rounds.Comment

You're the ******ed if you really believe that damage inflicted by Margacheato's punches on Cotto were based on his power. Why didn't Cotto's face look like that after the Mosley fight when he was hit with that bombs, but he was destroyed after being hit with that slow Margacheato punches? Why couldn't Margacheato bust Garcia up or at least leave a scratch on his face after 10 rounds of hitting him, why didn't he show the same power he showed when he almost tear Lujan's ear off and let Cintron face all swelled up after 5 rounds?the impact it had? you people are retarted,,what impact..do you know or do u all act like you don't know, the results were done on the substances he had and nothing hardened, that's a fact,it was tested,,so stop with the excuses and even worse that there is no proof it was used in his fight, and if it was it was proven in the testing that nothing hardened..
After the Garcia fight the cheater showed his wraps ostentatiously and you should compare how those wraps looked compared to the ones in the Cotto fight and you'll see a big difference.
PS : Anyone who believes Margacheato didn't cheat in the Cotto fight is either a complete idiot, a brain dead sheep or just a Cotto hater.Comment

Cotto fought Juuko in his 10th pro fight and Juuko has a veteran of 40+ fight and he had 3-3 in his last 6 fights...fought Ubaldo Hernandez in his 13th pro fight and Hernandez 1 loss in his last 6 fights & had 29 pro fights...Cesar Bazan 5'11" w/ 45 pro fights lost 2 of the last 9 fight when fought Cotto & it was Cotto's 14th pro fight...Cotto, Williams and Ceballos were the top 3 contenders at that time, Ceballos only lost was to Randall Bailey....Judah had 2 lost and 1 nc in his last 8 fights when fought Cotto and 1 of those loss was w/ Mayweather....so who's misleading here....fought Judah, then Mosley...they toyed Gomez that was wrong but got to blame TR for that, then Margacheato, fight a deserved easy fight w/ Jennings then go for Clottey and Pacquiao...people still question his heart and trash him for the possibility of him fighting Chavez Jr...give me a f***ing break!!!Comment
