that is not hhow it works, he took diuretics to make 160 for the Rowland fight. it was at 160 not at 154... the thing is that he goes up to 210 pounds (julio does) when he is not training and then two months prior to the fight he starts trainning and going on diet to make weight, so there is no healthy way to lose weight, he had to take diuretics to lose the water weight and make 160.. so he eats sea food like a pork when he is off training.... now he did diet way before he started the heavy training for duddy and now ariza and roach have him on a good healthy diet so he can make weight easy and still be strong that is how it works.Comment

Dude you got to be kidding me.... he ran from Margacheato or do you not know the difference from boxing him and running.... look there aint no evidence he used illegal hand wraps but using common sence Ive followed Margarito fights for the longest time I actually did tell my family that his style would give Cotto problems because
A. he could take a good punch
B. he has stamina for days, and throws tons of punches
C. his best punch is the uppercut which Cotto was always vulnerable to
D. Cotto runs out of steam in the later rounds
Never I mean never after knowing how Margacheato fought did I think he would bust him up the way he did Tony punches are arm punches no strength behind them as a fan and follower regular gloves CANNOT do that type of damage.
About the Pacman fight dude it was proven early that Cotto just couldnt take his punches he was trying to box and survive theres no argument there.
About the Clottey fight dude he was cut badly by a head bunt he easily could of taken the easy way out and just say I cant see and go to the cards and won that way.. but even like that all you Cotto haters would of just talked crap and said he quit...he fought with the cut and fought valiently so lets not say he ran... Chavez Sr vs Frankie Randal part 2 the fight was stopped because a tiny cut on chavez from a head but he decided to stop the fight and go to the cards.... lets not hate and lets give these fighters credit for there hard work and dedication

everyone has a right to there own opinion but going off of all the fights Ive seen him in and especially his last one there is no way he beats Cotto, unless I see a totally new and improved Chavez Jr vs Duddy which in 2 months I cant see Freddie Roach being able to do so much in my opinion he is not ready for any of the champions in 147 154 or 160

Even if Cotto were to some how get lucky and outpoint Margarito in a decision I wouldn't say I'm impressed, because Margarito's gas tank is probably empty too. You Cotto stans wanna blame all of Cotto's soft opponents on Arum. Fuck, if he fought those bums Gomez, Foreman, Branco, Malinaggi, and Jennings you know he'd fight Chavez Jr. too if Arum offered it to him.
