Now compare the length of time each fighter has been at that weight and who they have fought.

Within a year and half you go from Cotto to Clottey...in what amounts to you first real year participating in a new weight class, you face top 5 ranked opposition.

In Floyd's first year at welterweight who did he face? Sharmbe Mitchell and who else? Then look at the names after that... compare those fighters to Cotto and Clottey only in terms of ability, regardless of who held a title (Baldomir), remember Floyd doesn't fight for titles...words out of his own mouth.
Your post makes absolutely no sense. Comparing Pac's fight with Mayweather's at welterweight in their first year? Is this the best you can do? Did you actually say only in terms of ability in an attempt to qualify your ridiculous argument so the question couldn't be answered based on their opponents ranking at the time or their championship status? That is the equivalent of saying, who is better, Pac or Mayweather only in terms of the number of belts they have won.

You don't come to a gun battle with rocks and sticks, and with your comments, it looks like you are coming to this one with twigs!!!

floyd fans keep bringing up his work at 130's.... they like to forget about his "reign" at welter... fact that the boxing public DEMANDED floyd to fight the top guys at WW... but since they didnt "officially" call out floyd, floyd gets a free pass from not fighting margs, cotto, shane, p-will, etc.... floyd instead went after the money & retired.... sharmba, zab, & baldomir were solid but dont compare to cotto...

floyds best win is obviously shane... faded or not, shane was dangerous for anybody.

        floyds 5 yrs @ welter < mannys 2 yrs @ welter, IMO

that IMO is a tad overboard and if you are not a Manny fanatic you sure are portraying one about as accurately as possible
I post sporadically, which means not on a daily basis. If I feel strongly about a topic then I post, for example David Haye not signing a contract is response worthy. What you describe using the word "control", I would describe as passionate about a story itself, nothing more or less. I also posted many comments in a thread regarding the recently passed immigration law in Arizona, again because I felt strongly about the topic. I tell you what...look at the links posted today on this site and tell me what you think is newsworthy.

If he did, please pass that link on to me. By the way, he offered Shane a fight in 2006 and in 1999. Shane turned it down both times!!!! Also, please tell me when Pac offered to fight P-Will and the currrent version of Shane Mosley?
Just have to clear something up.Floyd said Mosley's name in 1999 does not mean he wanted a fight with him.If he wanted a fight he would have been in WW no?He was a LW getting ready for Jr WW around 99 and 2000 so how was he looking to fight the Sugar man then?As for 06 you maybe right.

I think someone who suffers from autism would come off looking like a Rhodes Scholar, if matched against you.

Floyd deserves more based on his drawing power and the fact that Manny fought a fixed fight with an unranked patsy from his own promotion's company in an EVENT last time out, that itself makes it a 55/45 fight for Floyd, then factor in that Manny trying to find loopholes and blackout dates for drug testing and that takes it to 60/40 for being an ******* and frankly if they keep playing games Floyd should take the split higher everytime they make a demand.
