Agreed. Though shane may be done, PWill can use his name. However, if he dominates him, his stock among boxing fans with some sort of knowledge won't go up much. This fight will increase mainstream appeal with the fans. I just don't want to see shane get anymore punches to the head ...

Pathetic. If you are a fan of Paul Williams I don't see how you can possibly defend this.

          Why not???

I'm a fan, why isn't this a good fight? Mosley is a great name. Williams wanted to fight Mosley before the Mayweather fight, and is still relatively dangerous after the Mayweather fight.

Personally, I'd like to see Williams eventually fight Martinez (again), Citron (again), but Mosley is still an entertaining, risky, scrap.

Let Mosley take some confidence building fights. Winky was coming off a more competitive loss to Hopkins for Christ sakes and nobody around here gives Paul any credit for that win, so why would they give him any credit for beating Mosley? He needs to fight guys who are at the top of their game. Angulo or Dzinziruk would be better fights.

And what did you think of Mayweather vs Mosley, pre-fight and post?

PWill vs Mosley, is ehh, not going too competitive (also depends on how Williams handles 147). Mosley can't take 15 months off again, he needs to make this fight happen this year in my opinion. Now for Williams, he's just trying to get his name up...sounds like he's avoiding Martinez, but he could just be trying to get a match with a more well known fighter - for instance, if Mayweather went up to 154, Williams would try to get that fight at whatever weight is available for the name of the opponent.

I see what your saying, but consider Mosley's age; if Williams fights (Angulo & Dzinziruk) he loses out on a "big name" on his resume. More specifically if Williams waits and then fights Mosley in another year, many people will begin to say Mosley is WAY removed from his prime, whereas, Williams and Mosley fighting now...the victory is more credible.

It urks me too to hear people down play the win over Wright. It was a great victory and a milestone in Williams career, and anyone else who beats him. Much like the win over Martinez.

To your point Angulo is a good fight sometime in the future!

Mosley will be 39 in less than 3 months, a high volume, half a foot taller, solid chinned puncher like Williams would be a nightmare for him at this point.

Of course if Williams stops Shane, maybe that'll help set up a fight with Floyd.

Not a fight I'm interested in seeing anymore. I rather see Mosley vs Berto or retirement and Williams vs Martinez, Angulo, or that Dzrink cat.

So you would actually give Williams credit for beating Mosley if they fought??
