People are underestimating Marquez. He is no where near as shot as Vasquez and Marquez has pretty good skills and techique to back up his aggression. I know Lopez has potential, but he really hasn't shown anything other than power. People are hating on him for not taking bigger challenges, but I honestly don't think he is ready for someone like Marquez (even this version). Rafa is no Steven Luevano. I see Marquez battering Lopez and stopping him in the late rounds.

I totally agree. Its more of an excuse thing in case he loses to Juanma, pathetic.... Marquez has a lot going for him in this fight, Juanma is still unproven at that level and green.

Rogers Mtagwa people!!! Rogers ****ign Mtagwa.

I kind of feel this way too. Lopez fell apart in that fight from a technical standpoint. he was throwing wide punches and fighting dumb. Caba is legit and will be too much for him, but he won't get stopped.

One thing that Valero and Lopez had in common was that a whole bunch of their fights ended early. But what separated them was the fact that Valero had twelve round stamina and Lopez simply does not. It's the truth. The only reason that Lopez was able to fight Penalosa relentlessly like that was because Pen was too small to defend against him. Marquez will be in danger for the first six rounds or so against Lopez, but if Lopez doesn't end it early and lets it go deep I honestly believe Rafa will take him in deep waters and drown him.

If you look at Lopez's fight against Mtwaga you could see Lopez was gassed as ****. And toward the end people talk about how much heart he showed. I didn't see it that way. He clinched and bought time and went on the retreat. Lopez is one of those guys that has been fed softies his whole career and often times those type of guys don't perservere through wars and battles.

Penalosa was definitely too small and too old and never had punching power to hurt Lopez even in his prime. But he took everything Lopez had to give him and still wanted more. Marquez can take a punch, and dish it out. He won't be a punching bag like Penalosa.

Juanma doesnt need to force anything, becaue he is taller and have more reach, so he will land from the outside. Marquez will be the one needs to get inside and let Juanma punch for him to counterpunch. and if he lets Juanma get off he is toast.

Rafa's counter punching and smartness are great, but other than he doesnt have anything on Juanma.

                Juanma KO7 or less!!
                Yeah, Rafa is definitely overrated.

He was just the first man to beat Marc Johnson (a southpaw) in 10 years and then went on to be the first to knock him out too. Marc Johnson being on P4P lists when it wasn't even fashionable to have fighters under 135 on P4P lists means nothing.

Marquez only knocked out an undefeated Tim Austin making like his 10th defense of a title. Tim Austin (another southpaw) was just a top bantamweight for a few years.

I would mention Mabuza, Pastrana, and Vazquez, but they are all overrated.

You're right Rafa is overrated, Lopez has proved himself much more by beating De Leon, Penalosa, Luevano, and Mtagwa.

How many times did Mtagwa get knocked out before coming close to stopping Lopez?

                      Pastrana and austin who????

Im not saying Juanma is more proven that Marquez that would be ridiculous.

But you make its seem like Rafa have a stellar resume, and is far from it.

Let alone getting stoped 4 times in the process!!

Watch Juanma dispose his ass with ease and you claming Rafa was shot!
