I'm not sure he could get away with that with todays fighters. Plus alot of those Guys don't seem to even be on the same tier as him so that makes me wonder how many those HOF that were mentioned in the article were fighting today if they would even be considered for the the hall. Again I just am not sure and none of us can say that we know it for sure.

As for Ali, I love Love him to the fullest but we all know that many of his opponents were sub par to him. His chin got checked alot so we know that is proven. Still the point is when he was at his prime he had many who wanted to discredit him as well.

So now we're in a totally diffrent era and looking at all the fighters today I don't see how you can say that Floyd can't make a case based on some of his stats. things like his connect % and the way he effects his opponents connect % and overall work rate...
A BIG problem that we rarely think about when assessing the reality value of a video such as we've seen of Robinson KO'ing all those opponents is......................

I'd bet that they'd already been down a few times before tthe KO and were not in condition to put up a proper defence. So to onlookers it looks like a terrific KO, but in reality, it was just the last few of a series of damaging punches.

The only ones I can be sure the opponents were not ready for a KO were the Foullmer KO, which is deservedly famous and always shown, as well as the 2 Bobo Olsen fights, where he was KO'd literally with a punch or two.

Floyd's just stirring things up. What you want the same old boring respectable fighters who say everyone from back in the day is better than them? Forget that, Floyd's different, he has a big mouth and he uses it to sell himself. When Ali hears Floyd saying he's better than him, he probably smiles because he knows what Mayweather is trying to do...he's trying to stirr **** up in boxing. You know deep inside, Floyd has the utmost respect for the old fighters. But he's a showman, he's undefeated, he's part of the richest PPV in the history of boxing, he won that fight, he's gonna talk a lot of ****. Is he the best ever? absolutely not. Can he say he's the best ever? anyone can, and so can he. Can he back it up? he's 41-0 undefeated, been underdog, been favorite, won all of them. Whether if it's for publicity or he truly believes he's the best ever, it has you, writers, and boxing analyst talking about it.

defense cannot win fights, is there any boxer who won just by defense? how many boxers won just like robinson who had next to no defense? will joshua clottey have a chance of winning against pacman if their fight extends to 30 rounds just by what he does best, yes, defend?

floyd can never be above sugar ray robinson, he only have that overrated shoulder roll, thats what hes got and thats why he cherry picked his opponents. he can be said the greatest yes he is the greatest bull****ter in the boxing world all time.

Uhh, and how exactly does my outward appearance relate to my intelligence?

I wear different clothes when I need to.

So does my intelligence suddenly change then?

I mean really? A guy like Floyd, with his big ego, can say something like that about himself??! NAAAAAHH can't be...

                Right?

pac completely deserved it. Remember it's called FIGHTER of the decade, not boxer of the decade.

The criteria they used to judge, was tailor made for pac's boxing personality, not floyds.

robinsons competition was no better than Mayweathers. Ali's was def superior though.

Jake Lammotta is only famous for beating Robinson. He's like Margarito. Famous for taking out Cotto.
