Manny had better options and the weights he has fought but they did a good job of matching him up against fighters that fit mannys style and make him look good.
But, he fought coutner punchers already. He has beaten better counter punchers then say Judah and Berto. He has KO'd slicker fighters then Judah and Berto or Campbell.

He was a master at making his opponents use their agressiveness against them which by definition means slick!

But as always that will just get shot down for some strange reason because suddenly Marquez was always just a blood and guts face first fighter.
WOW! you truly don't understand what Slick is and that is the problem, you really believe that Slick means Black which is just SAD!

Marquez style is far from Slick, Slick and a Counter Puncher is not even the same thing lol so clearly your confused about the "Slick Style Of Boxing", Marquez has absolutely no head movement so how can he be considered "Slick"

here are a few fighters who are not black but are considered slick just to prove to you that slick does not mean black:

Current: Lucian Buta, Sergio Martinez, Paulie Malignaggi just to name a few, Tomasz Adamek even though he is not slick he used a slick style against Chris Arreola to beat him

Past: again Willie Pep was a Pioneer when it comes to the slick style, Hector Camacho was slick, Prince Naseem was slick just to name a few

your clearly confused about what is a slick boxing style, again like I said go watch Willie Pep videos on youtube so you can get a better understand of what slick is and since he is not black, that might help you have a better understand of what SLICK IS, in other words "GUYS WHO ARE HARD TO HIT" THAT IS WHAT SLICK IS!!!

But the point is, Marquez was a Mexican. There is a stereotype for Mexican fighters that even Pacquiao & his team subscribe to. And that is that they like to fight and get in exchanges - their Mexican pride makes them do it -.

So he fought Morales & JMM, knowing that they can box but are more prone to getting into exchanges. He also knows that none of them have the natural fluidity that a African-American, that learned his craft in Mid-Western/East-Coast gyms has. Even with Yuri Foreman, they knew that he was not only a tall 5'11 but he fights the Brooklyn Pauli Malignaggie school of boxing, so they said he was too tall for them, even though Margarito is the same height and they're willing to fight him.

Yeah and the reason Pac didnt fight him is because he knows he would lose on points and look foolish like MOrales did
does that make Raheem better than Pac?
              Hell no
but its just a bad match for him
Pac gets shh it because he keeps fighting the same type of fighter
he doesnt fight someone that is as fast or somewhat comparable to him

I know its not his fault that he is super fast but level the playing field
to me he would get more props if he beat Frietas (who at that time I believe was undefeated) and then a judah or berto only cause they both have pop and are very fast themselves

I think Pac style is a bad match up for Raheem. Raheem look like crap against Acelino Freitas.

I hate it when people only look at it from one way. Raheem could do stuff that will trouble Pac. Just like Pac could do stuff that would trouble Raheem.

You know what is wrong with the sport of boxing these days? The lack of acknowledgement and tolerance.

Pacquiao didn't dominate the championships and the limelight? I don't know what you have been watching but to say something lesser than what he has accomplished is unprecedented.
