Clottey was a decent technical fighter but not slick by any means. He has gotten used to fighting in his comfort zone of just covering up and countering when his opponent stops throwing, that when the time came to step it up and do more, he couldn't step out of his shell.

Both Bradley and Berto would provide Foot-Movement & good Upper-Body movement, with decent punching technique....something Pacquiao hasn't seen since Marquez. Cotto was a very good boxer (in terms of his jab and timing) and Pac gets props from me for beating him, but his defense was horrible and he can't move around the ring for ****. It isn't natural to him and as Steward pointed out, he was off balance when he came into training camp for the Foreman fight. Manny got caught with some decent punches Vs Cotto early on, until he fizzled out.

I really dont think its the black slick think Jro IO think its more the counterpuncher type
and dont bring that Clottey bs cause we all saw he just showed up for a check
Manny had better options and the weights he has fought but they did a good job of matching him up against fighters that fit mannys style and make him look good.

Do I have to show you all of Marquez and his counters which are probably crisper and more technically proficiant than Bradley. Again if this is your definition of slick than Pac has already fought a slick fighter twice so whats the big deal? Whats the argument other than he hasn't fought a black man from the US?

Let's not forget that "Slick" isnt even a style. You cant learn "slick".

It's simply a 6th sense in the ring to anticipate and avoid punches through years and years and years of experience.

Its not like you can walk into an american gym and be taught to fight like floyd or pernell whitaker.

What's ****** is that the weight classes that PACQUIAO has conquered has hardly any "slick black fighters", does this mean it is his fault?

Wow, 7 weight classes....domination. What more can anyone ask for?

Berto is not slick not even close. Has no slickness in him. If we going by slick Pac has fought slicker fighters than Berto, Just cuz you black with quick hands doesn't make you slick

Slick also doesn't mean you are very good either. People keep mentioning Zahir Raheem who did almost nothing outside of a points win over Morales.
