Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto Says Emanuel Steward is Here To Stay

WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will continue to retain Emanuel Steward as the head trainer of his team. Cotto was very pleased with the adjustments Steward made to his style which led to the nine round TKO victory over Yuri Foreman at Yankee Stadium on June 5. Cotto wants to return in a very big before the end of the year and Steward will be by his side. Steward is the longtime trainer of WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. As long as Cotto can continue to improve Emanuel will stay, as soon as Miguel loses he's outta there. Sad but true.

Great choice! Let's see Cotto-Berto next! I can definitely see Cotto doing the chicken dance early, but coming back to drop Berto with deadly shots to the body and eventually stopping him by the 10th round.

Berto? First of all he will beat Berto, and Berto is also at 147.....Cotto also wants big fights now and Berto wont bring any money in.

              Bring on Margarito

Of course he'd beat Berto. I just think that would be a perfect opportunity for both. But I suppose Margo would be better, especially since Cotto doesn't hate that idea anymore.

I think if he beats Margarito he should retire....if he flat out destroys him however, the big names at 154 will come after him and i dont think he can really compete at 154
